Yacht- master rhodium over The sub ❤️

This is much dressier than the Sub. I think that it is more versatile with a wardrobe and job, and can still be worn in the pool or shower. I like the blue dial version over the rhodium.

Get over that cold soon Dylan! I love the Yachty, and have been desiring one for ages now. The best thing about it is the sensuous, rounded case sides - so much prettier than the slab sided Sub cases.

The YM with the dark rhodium dial was love at first sight for me, and I’ve never looked back. Online debates over which Rolexes are sharper than others or which are ugly amuse me because taste is so subjective and because there are so many beautiful Rolex watches, new and used, available for purchase. My personal exception is the YM II, which strikes me as a Rolex parody every time I see it. Btw, Dylan, this is easily my favorite watch channel because your reviews are always so interesting, informative, and entertaining. Cheers!

Top watch which looks amazing outside in the sun! The numerals glow in the dark making it an elegant timepiece to own which are in great demand,

My choice is the platinum dial YM 116622 with red lettering and red seconds lollipop hand. Its sparkling dial is reminiscent of the shimmering Mediterranean Sea. And it's a solid platinum dial, not some cheap painted brass, good looking but brass nonetheless.

I've owned a 1996 Submariner , a 1999 Daytona, and a 2003 Yacht-master all in steel. Go buy a black Submariner and then you realize every man who can afford it has already got one. And now you understand the game.

I have both the Rolesium and the Kermit. Nothing wears more comfortably than the Yachtmaster. I love my Submariner but the Yachtmaster is my daily.

...you would not run out of air, because for that you have your pressure gauge showing you the tank pressure, but you would exceed your no decompression limits, which would turn your dive into a decompression dive, of which you would be unaware, and you would end up in the decompression chamber.... so much for the use of the bezel, apart of that, good review, I have a Sub, and would not buy a YM, because I don't like the rounded lugs, but that is just me.

Buying the one at 2:32 for my wife (except hers will be the 37mm version...better size for her and it comes with the newer movement) because she won't wear her dressy watch on the beach.

YM 40 with the rhodium dial over every SM IMHO.

I collected mine last week.... I'm absolutely loving it. The 'slate' dial with the ice blue secondhand is memorising. It's my second Rolex. I have a 'Pepsi' on oyster.

This in blue or dark grey - I cant decide...

The Yacht-Master 40 does not have as you say at 3:58, the standard Oyster bracelet. To quote the Rolex web site featuring this watch. " It is equipped with the Easylink comfort extension link. An ingenious system which allows the wearer to increase the bracelet length by approximately 5 millimetres, providing additional comfort in any circumstance." I must say I am really surprised that you missed this feature of the watch in your review.

It's a very nice watch, and of the Yachtmasters is my favorite. Nice that they even do a smaller version, which my wife likes (for her). I think the YMII is an insane monstrosity with a bizarrely specific utility. Hmm yes, I enter a lot of regattas and definitely need a $40K ugly watch to time them, but I'd like it made of a really soft precious metal so it gets damaged easily... So yes, back to this specific Yachtmaster, I wouldn't mind owning one. But if I were spending my own money on it, I think I'd just go with the Submariner. After all you have the date or no date option, the LV (Hulk), and even a couple of two-tone options, all of which are at or significantly below the price of the Yachtmaster. And personally, I prefer a ceramic bezel to a shiny metal bezel. I once had an Omega Seamaster with a shiny bezel, and it really annoyed me after a time. Granted, it was not platinum, but still. I suspect it would also get beat up more easily than a ceramic.
