REUPLOAD. I've had many comments directed at the audio, hopefully this fixes it. Audio should be louder.
Here is version 2.1 of my most viewed video. Now with better AND louder audio and organization!

I've wanted to DM for a while now, playing a theatre of the mind game just doesn't have the same feel online so Roll20 is the best option. The biggest thing that was holding me back was the idea that I had in my head that Roll20 was complicated to set up as a DM. You've just lifted a massive weight from my shoulders with your clear explanations and tips and you've given me a lot of confidence to go ahead with it all. Thank you so much!

I watched your original Crash Course video, the 2.0, and now this one.. Very good work, thank you! I delved into Roll20 blindly, and there are a handful of things that you go over that address a number of nuances that I missed. Definitely appreciate it

I'll tell you right now that this has helped me tremendously. I was able to start up basically from scratch and get a bunch of my assets and player characters in. I've been doing a lot of research for my first campaign and I'm definitely going to use your guides as a Foundation. your work is appreciated!

Yay thats fantastic! Let me know if you have any questions about starting up. Homebrew or adventure?
@Drocrest
@Drocrest 3 жыл бұрын
@@SilverDragonAcademy it's a Homebrew. I'm the "creative" one in my party of friends, so they asked me if I could come up with a world. it's been super fun and I've been trying to keep it relatively tame. seeing as it's our first campaign I decided to just make one region rather than the whole world to keep it small and have the problems in one place. planning on only having one BBEG that causes the grocery list of problems all around too. something you can build on, ya know? 3 important questions id like to ask if you have any advice on. 1: any important points that you think I should bring up for our session 0 2; My party is going to consist of three people, a Bard a rogue and a warlock, so no tank atm. any advice on balancing encounters for the size/comp of the player group? we're all beginners so I already intend to keep it fairly non-lethal and lastly this one is a bit more obscure, but our Rogue is in fact a tortle, yes a tortle. I've been wondering if I should just make his armor class increase per level as they have their shell ability, but more importantly I'm concerned about the sneaking. obviously common sense is about halfway out the window here, so should I just roll with it or make his Dc's a little higher lol.

Thank you so much! I'll be a first time GM next weekend, so I'm not just learning the game mechanics and how to run the game but also how to use Roll20 and I find it quite clunky and counter-intuitive sometimes. But now I was finally able to align my map, so thanks again! :D

Hi. This is a very helpful video. I am getting ready to DM my first Roll20 game and this has helped a lot. I am starting with The Lost Mine of Phandelver. I have a quick question. I am using maps from D&DBeyond for the campaign. How do you hide or unhide things on a map? Like a locations label. Like on the map of the Sword Coast or the map of Phandalin. Do you have a video that includes that? Great job and thanks again.
@SilverDragonAcademy

Hey James! If you are using D&D Beyond, under the maps on the website you will see a link to the "Player Version" and then add in your own labels. Lost Mines has been out for a good while, you will probably be able to find maps and resources online too :) Let me know if you need anything else.
