In this short series we make a small oval train set with a town and a countryside station.

It was a fun series to make and I'm pretty happy how the build completed. Who knows maybe another build next year. The games great so very likely.

Glad you're enjoying. I've just record the last ep. There'll be 26 eps in total including a reveal ep at the end. The layout will also shortly be available on the workshop :-)

Always good to see rolling line! Also, you can slope track by using the scroll wheel before confirming the placement

Tried using the scroll wheel method (might mention this in a future ep) but being left handed holding the the left mouse button and scrolling the wheel is quite difficult.

@@bluewizard page up and down work too and you can actually count how manytimes you pressed the button to make it more accurate

love the series so far. I knew you were gonna try to do the railroads online switch maneuver when you were trying to figure out the setup there. i have a real layout, but i just bought this to help me see the end goal i have in my mind. can't wait to see the next video!

Glad you like the series :-) It did take me a while (a little longer than the ep really shows lol) but yeah I did finally think of using the switch trick and it certainly saves some time. There s other software that might also help with our layout. www.scarm.info/index.php?l=en&page=extensions&ext=model_trains_simulator_se This is a limited free version of a game with a track plan and 3d view. The free version is limited with the amount of items you can use at a time. I'ts very basic looking but looks like its meant to be used to help create real layouts. EEP which you can find on steam also has a track plan view. If you can get it when eep16 is on sale it might be worth a look. 17 is now out (on their site for now only) so 16 might go down in price so worth keeping an eye on. Its an old game engine but still doesn't look bad. I reviewed it on my Creative Train games video. But if you're looking for a game that is sheer fun, Rolling Line is the game and should indeed let you see what your really life setup might look like. Happy building :-)

In the draw we’re u get the tunnels there is a painter like a paint you use on the track to add a tunnel and holding Ctrl while rotating in edit mode snaps in to angels

wow, is it possible to mod in track bits that actually line up without all the fuss and using the "filler piece?" Two turnouts facing each other to make a crossover between adjoining tracks should just be something that lines up and fits by default.

I'm guessing that's "no" and that the track is part of the base game.

The only modded bit of track I came across is a set of points. I didn't test it but I think it had working blades which the main game doesn't have.
