In this video I'll be showing you the rolling shop stool that I have used for the last two years and it's done great for me. I picked up another one since the kids keep taking mine so I thought it would be good to share a long term review to help others in making a decision on a shop stool for their shop. Unfortunately, Lowe's no longer sells this stool as they have re-branded this stool from Kobalt to Craftsman. They also increased the price substantially so I went online and found the exact same stool for less that I will show as well.

I will also show a great swivel caster wheel mod that I did to my stool to make it even better. I upgraded the wheels from 2 inches to 4 inches and now they even have brakes so I can lock them if needed which has been really handy quite a few times. I found those wheels for a great price at my local Home Depot so you can pick those up as well.
I really like the features of this rolling shop stool (or mechanics seat) such as the comfort and durability of the seat cushion, the range of the adjustable height, the compartmentalized square base that allows me to store parts / tools and I really appreciate how well everything works after two years of use. Even the pneumatic lift of the seat still works perfectly! Ultimately, I think this stool is a great option if your looking to get something better than the cheap $25-$50 stools but not as expensive as a $150 stool. This is a perfect , high quality, mid range stool that works great!
Check it out and let me know what you think!
