Ron Capps wins second NHRA Funny Car Championship

2 жыл бұрынRon Capps watched nervously from behind the starting line at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona as his teammate and championship rival staged for a semifinal race with Alexis DeJoria’s Del Worsham-tuned entry. Hagan had already beaten Capps in round tow and could steal the points lead from Capps and win his fourth championship if he won the event.

Part of the joy of NHRA racing is that you won't find any of their competitors out driving around all boozed up at 330AM killing people, while going 156MPH on a public street.

Such a great guy, he always has time for the fans! Genuine awesome guy, Ron come back up to Alaska and do some more salmon fishing in between the west coast swing! Hope you don’t mind our Alaskan Ray Martin getting his first round win against you in Indy.!😉👍

I have known Ron for 7 years and I really thought that it was over after he lost to Hagan because Vinervals gets better every round, but I could not be more happy for Ron this is a well deserved and well earned championship, Lets go get another one next year Ron!!!

I cheer for Ron because I think he is one of the best spokesmen for funny car racing. Clay Millican would be a killer champ for top fuel.

Congratulations to Ron and the whole Napa crew. Ron is a good ambassador for the sport of drag racing , and Napa have spent lots of money to fund a car/ team and events for years.

I like John Force but its good for others to win. John is good for drag racing but bad for funny car.
