So true. I was always fascinated with his alpha male Libertarian façade he was constantly trying to put forth and the people (and their dramas) in his life would totally challenge that. It's poetic, subtle, almost subliminal in what it's trying to say about people like Ron... He's easily one of the most intriguing TV characters in recent memory.

The banana scene may be comedy but I think it's one of the sweetest scenes in the show. Ron doesn't compromise. Ron doesn't eat vegetables. But he loves his family so much he's willing to put aside everything to be there for them and I think that's amazing

the beauty of this show is the relationship between political parties within the parks department. although ron and leslie have fundamentally different opinions, they respect each other. they compromise. they both see what is important to the other person, and have found a common ground time and time again. I love it.

It's common fatherly knowledge that if you have 2 daughters and they have the same toys, if one of them breaks the others toy the only way to resolve the issue is to break the other one. It may end in tears, but it's 2 less pieces of garbage floating around the house that's made in China. Also, they get to console and comfort each other, forming a sisterly bond while dad can have another glass of Lagavulin.

There’s only two instances in my life where I cried, once when I was 7 years old and felt of my bike and messed up my left forearm, the second time was when the episode of Leslie and Ron Aired, that moment when Ron looks up the window and doesn’t recognize anyone anymore was just sad! Everyone had move out and the once lonely man was alone again. (Now forget what I just said)
