OMG I remember all of these as a kid. I used to see these commercials on t.v. between watching reruns of Star Trek. I used to see them in the afternoon after school.

My father actually worked for him back in 70s. Ron was Mr Popeils son. Ron had the cheesy stuff like mr microphone and the glass froster. his dad had all the classic productions, like the dial-o-matic and such.

The ending voiceovers for Popeils Dial O Matic and Ronco's Flower Loom Kit was v/o by former WUAB Channel 43 (Now My-43) Cleveland, Ohio staff announcer Marty "Superhost" Sullivan and the ending v/o for Ronco's Battery Tester was v/o by Jim Barton and the ending v/o Ronco's Egg Scramber was v/o by Ron Beattie (both Beattie and Barton were former staff announcers at (now FOX affiliate) WFLD in Chicago).

My school in 3rd grade had dozens of the glass bottle cutters. We would bring in bottles from home and make glass sets. After cutting we would sit on the cement sidewalks swirling the glasses around to smooth the lip of glass. Can you image kids today doing that, having broken glass and no safety goggles or gloves, or supervision. Them my mom would pick us up in her el Camino and six neighborhood kids would ride in the back. No seats, no belts, we all survived!

I have one of those slicers in my cabinet. But it's called something else now. Plus I got one of those cookie things back in the 1980s and I still use it to this day, but mine isn't automatic and has no attachment to make deviled egg designs. That egg scrambler was a dud. I bought thm twice. They had a pin inside to scramble the egg it lasted about three days.

I don't know about the rest of his products, but the Ronco Rotisserie made billions of dollars. Yes, billions. Malcolm Gladwell even referred to him as one of the greatest marketing geniuses in history in "The Dog Came Back", precisely because all his infomercials thoroughly explained the products he was selling..
