Ronnie Coleman is the perfect example of an unbreakable mindset when doing something that truthfully just sucks. If you can keep up the positive self talk and the “nothing to it but to do it attitude”, you will always find either a path to success or a path to contentment with how far you’ve come. Eating egg whites, grits, protein shakes and working full days of work + midnight cardio, yet he still says “It’s a good life” with a true smile on his face. It’s all about your mindset! EDIT: Contrary to popular belief, I am absolutely aware that Ronnie Coleman was on steroids. However, this is not the point I’m making. You don’t just take steroids and get huge without also spending countless hours in the gym. Steroids are more like a tool belt. They make you more capable of getting your work done, but you ultimately are responsible for swinging the hammer / lifting the weight.

You could train your whole life and do everything right, you'll never beat an Olympian sprinter If you don't have the gene. Man, Ronnie is a legend! Being a cop is hard work with long hours. But he found time to be the greatest bodybuilder of all time while being a cop. Not only that, but he only does what he loves to do and he sees himself as blessed. And he still has no regrets. So f-ing inspirational.

I would imagine Ronnie does not do police beat work - but visiting schools, correctional facility and give the spiel - I was 17 without 2 cents to rub together blah blah . He’d also be teaching cops how to work out in the police gym

Not only was Ronnie massive, but he also had a very aesthetically pleasing physique as well (perfect symmetry, broad shoulders, narrow waist etc), which is close to impossible for guy weighing nearly 300 pounds.

One of the greatest of all time here showing us what he eats in his humble abode. In stark contrast to today's instragram bodybuilders showing off their megamansions while showing us their diet. This video sends an implied message: it doesn't matter how big your house is or how thick the marble benchtop in your kitchen is, it's not going to make *you* any bigger than you are. There is no substitute for hard work and discipline, they can't be bought.
