Military Selector (Same in K2, K7 and their variations) Semi Safe ● Auto Burst (90 degrees for each mode, 360 rotatable for clockwise and counter-clockwise) Old version can only use M193, so ROK Armed Forces is changing barrel of K1A to use SS109(M855).

Great video! The Daewoo has a 1 in 12" twist rate in that barrel so if you are firing anything heavier than 55 grain 5.56/.223 bullet you will be all over the targets.

Sometimes ammo can just be off because of machine tolerances. I ran into that with my Enfield thinking the barrel was burnt out. I tried two other brands and it grouped very well and before I shot 6rds at a large paper target at 25yards and only one hit so I put it up because I felt it was unsafe

My K1A1 and DR200 have the 1:12 twist, my K2 has a 1:7.3 twist.

Sinclair’s Simple Twist Rate Measurement Method If are unsure of the twist rate of the barrel, you can measure it yourself in a couple of minutes. You need a good cleaning rod with a rotating handle and a jag with a fairly tight fitting patch. Utilize a rod guide if you are accessing the barrel through the breech or a muzzle guide if you are going to come in from the muzzle end. Make sure the rod rotates freely in the handle under load. Start the patch into the barrel for a few inches and then stop. Put a piece of tape at the back of the rod by the handle (like a flag) or mark the rod in some way. Measure how much of the rod is still protruding from the rod guide. You can either measure from the rod guide or muzzle guide back to the flag or to a spot on the handle. Next, continue to push the rod in until the mark or tape flag has made one complete revolution. Re-measure the amount of rod that is left sticking out of the barrel. Use the same reference marks as you did on the first measurement. Next, subtract this measurement from the first measurement. This number is the twist rate. For example, if the rod has 24 inches remaining at the start and 16 inches remain after making one revolution, you have 8 inches of travel, thus a 1:8 twist barrel.

I did two tours in S. Korea where I seen the ROK soldiers carry these rifles at on the DMZ. Very accurate assault rifles compare to the M1Garand rifle that my Korean brother-in-law had when he was in the ROK Army.

I served the korean military from 2016 to 2018, using K2 in recruit course, K1 in army corps. I was happy when using K1 with lighter weight than K2. Shooting K1 was little bit shorter than video. Corps version barrel is like 2 inch short maybe.(didn't measure that) K1 Submachine gun(just translated) named, but barrel length looks like carbine. When I work in the cafeteria in corps, some Assault sergeants use K1 with AR buffer stocks,(whether don't know that foldable) RIS handguard with vertical handgrip(which brand doen't know) At least, I was in Special Assault commando 705, and not a field worker. I wanted to shoot in range, but can't get a chance to enough, but really comfortable for short arms. K2 is a bit long for maneuver shooting for me. Sorry for my poor english comment, hopefully helpful to your video.

Wow, you really know how to handle that rifle! I used the K1A1 with a shorter barrel during my service in the ROK Marines 25 years ago. I never thought the rifle was as cool as I see in your video. To be honest, I used to consider it one of the worst weapons a soldier could have. It seems I was mistaken. Thank you for introducing the world to the K1A1. What a nostalgic memory!

Henry of 9-Hole Reviews KZfaq channel was reliably hitting targets out to 450 yards with it pretty well. At 500 yards, he was starting to have problems, but for a wire stock "SMG," pretty amazing.

I have my own K1A1 that I've been liking to use more and more lately. Brought it out to a couple of outings with friends, set up courses of fire and tried going under the timer with em. Despite iron sights only and a wire stock, still ended up being middle of the pack against a lot of AR guys with dots, LPVOs, lasers, etc. And you know what, I'll take that lol.

Just regarding the first drills around 5:00 I’ve seen a lot of issues in forums about having a hard time hitting at longer range, I don’t remember the twist rate on the barrel but yea, definitely picky on ammo
