Love IKO, Nordic and Dynasty are good shingles. They have taken great care of us over the years. Some people critize us, but honestly we have no problems selling it and sell quite a bit of it. I would offer some sort of deal of your site with IKO. I am confident we could get them to contribute on our behalf too, they like me.

I used to an O.C. preferred contractor. This last year (2022-2023), O.C. seemed to have production issues. Sometimes the Duration shingles were available but not the ridge caps, sometimes vice/versa. Got a letter from O.C. last month saying they were dropping me from the Preferred Contractor program because I did not install enough squares. Goodbye O.C., hello IKO.

We love Dynasty. We are an IKO roof pro here in Ohio also. I’ve been installing them for quite a while and love the color options. We did have a warranty issue a couple years ago but they were great to work with and took care of what we needed without any issues. We also install OC Durations and we love them both. Great video.

Had supply issues with certain colours in Owens last year and did a few roofs with Iko dynasty and absolutely loved them, I install them a lot now

We really like IKO Dynasty, we install them every week. I even put IKO Dynasty on my Mothers house because I believe they stand up well to the wind. Their warranty is much more realistic as well

I work for an IKO RoofPro Contractor down here on the coast of South Alabama, and we LOVE Dynasty. It’s one of the most affordable shingles in the market and they offer a Class 4 option with Nordic. Not to mention, the pull test tells the whole story. Down here on the coast we can expect 1-2 hurricanes per year, and it’s rare for us to see a dynasty shingle that has pulled through. Not to mention, their product is vertically integrated, meaning they make everything that is required to build their shingle in-house (most manufacturers source granuals from 3M). But the biggest selling point down here in the south is that they will not void your wind warranty in the event of a hurricane or named storm, as long as wind speeds don’t crest their wind warranty. Most manufacturers void your warranty in the event of a named storm, whether it has 60mph winds, or 160mph winds. I will say, there is a time and place for Cambridge but it is something we rarely to push due to its previous history, and due to the minor price difference for the upgrade to Dynasty. Love to see how IKO has turned over a new leaf and reinvested in themselves. Not to mention the support that we receive from IKO is unmatched. Our rep Eric is a rockstar, in an area where it has been very difficult to get support from other shingle brand reps. I’ve sold GAF, OC, Atlas, Tamko, and now IKO, and I’m most impressed with IKO, it’s products, and it’s support. Thanks for the video! Love that you’re getting the word out

🌞 Would you say that the IKOdynasty granules is equal quality to the granules of CertainteedLandmarkPREMIUM? Do you think Certainteed would become better than IKO if Certainteed were to revise their Landmark and their GrandManor to have a tear enforcement strip and wide marked area for nails similar to that feature in the IKOdynasty?

I have a bundle of IKO Dynasty shingles a roofer gave me as a color sample. The packaging was printed in 2021. Were these made after IKO made the improvements mentioned in the video? Specifically, is the granule loss any less in 2021 than it was in 2020?

Roofers may know these designation, but the general public does not. Maybe, bracket them so the public can understand what is what. Oh, by the way, Consumer Reports recent roof shingle testing report does NOT rate IKO that highly. Only in the multiply layer /laminate shingles: Owens Corning Berkshire Collection, CertainTeed Presidential Shake, these are rated highly. Rated lower are the IKO Crowne Slate and the CertainTeed Grand Manor. The 3-tab shingles were rated much lower, overall. Thanks for your video and all your work and time.

getting roof replaced in a few weeks. its $375 total difference to upgrade from Cambridge to the Dynasty. Trying to see if its worth it.

I went to an IKO demonstration today. I felt exactly the same way about them from 2017 until today. I just wrote them off as builders grade junk. I was really impressed with the improvements they have made. I’m not a massive storm chaser or a huge company. All of my business is from friends and family and referrals. So, if I put a roof on someones house I will see them again in the near future.I feel completely confident to begin installing the Dynasty after today.

I noticed the iko proformax shingles only have a 15 year warranty…isn’t that a little low ?

I’ve been trying to install some dynasty but for whatever reason my suppliers keep telling me they don’t even house the product even though they have Cambridge, would love to at least get a couple jobs done with the product and see how it holds up here in Florida.

I have been installing dynasty and in my opinion has to do better job on the grains, because these come off too easily....

I’m not sure if it was dynasty or Cambridge but we installed one IKO last year because a customer insisted on iko. It was terrible. I think 3 guys including me slipped and fell on the roof (nobody hurt). There was a ridiculous amount of sand/granules in the gutters when we were done. When all is said and done the roof looked fine, don’t expect any issues from it but that shit is dangerous to install.

IKO Dynasty is really good shingles, but the builders' grade Cambridge isn't desirable. There's other builders' grade shingles on the market that are better than Cambridge. Cambridge has a bad problem with loose granules. You have to nail perfect to hold, and over time, the ends lose their seal.

Still think iko is one of the worst shingles out there period no matter what my crew and I where just doing some duplex houses in Illinois and we had to stop 3 days even some people from iko had to come out because they didn't even know anything about shingles we had to point out the obvious for them to see what we were talking about shingles weren't the same color and the ridge cap was in the same size some were shorter than 12 inches they had about 3/8 of a difference so that's dumb and also the shingles were degranulating bad even tamko shingles don't degranulate as bad as iko and iko supposedly is a better shingle brand

In the 80s and 1990s Iko shingles were not good.

In short term: you’re easily bought.

IKO shingles including Dynasty are junk. If I could load pictures here you could see the proof. I inspected a Dynasty roof installed in 2017, the shingles are buckling in all the valleys. The decking is in good shape as inspected in the attic, the roof has a correctly installed ridge vent system. The valleys are correctly installed as well. No signs of high wind damage. The seal strips have failed, the shingles have expanded and popped off of the nails. I have never in my 12+ years of roof installation ever seen this type of failure. That along with 90% plus wind blown shingles repairs been to IKO shingles have convinced me that next to Tampko, this is the worst performing shingle lineup on the market. If you want a good performing shingle but don't want to pay Malarkey money, CertainTeed Landmarks, or Owens Corning Duration are the shingles to buy.

This is the problem with the industry. Cheap car salesmen. Unsubscribed.

I have a relative that works for my roofline distributor and they say that IKO is the best shingle as far as warranty claims and performance. They also say that they haven’t seen any claims against it and that a lot of other manufacturers have had way more issues compared to iko.
