Love this day in the life video! You had it all: flexibility, interest-led, invitations to learn new things, curiosity, sibling bonding time, responsibility... It helps me envision goals I have for our homeschool!

Love seeing your kids playing happily. My husband and I have been discussing getting rid of our tv but haven’t officially “pulled the plug” yet. This was so encouraging to see how positive it’s been for your family.

I love the learning invitations and gentleness in the early years! Fun fact: Live birth isn’t actually a defining characteristic of a mammal. Both the platypus and the echidna are mammals, but lay eggs. On the flip side, there’s actually some sharks that give live birth, like the bull shark.

Interesting-never thought of that, but I think maybe most curriculums list live birth as a defining characteristic is almost like a grammar or spelling rule where it’s typically true, with a few exceptions!

@@RootedHomeLife I could see that. I have a B.S. and M.S. in Zoology, so it's just a major pet peeve of mine. Lol. I love to educate though. P.S. You're doing such a wonderful job with your kids! Your videos are very inspiring.

What would you say would be a good history curriculum for a 4th & 6th grader? We tried TGTB for the 2023/2024 school year & it was just way too boring for my kiddos. No matter how “fun” I tried making it they just weren’t liking it.
