I have heard about people wanting to change the name of Cork airport to Rory Gallagher Airport and i am very shocked and saddened by this as it is just no good enough. We needed to do better, do the right thing and rename Ireland to Rory Gallagher Land, what a sight this would be as people land at airports and ferry ports. Welcome to RORY GALLAGHER LAND, man that has a lovely ring about, come on people lets get this done right away

I just discovered Overnight Bag a couple days ago when I bought Photo Finish mainly for Shadow Play... Wow. I've been hearing it on repeat non-stop. Just amazing melodies and accents here and there, not to mention great lyrics. Perfection.

Two of my favourite tracks from Photo Finish. I have the original release and both these songs are different. When Donal remastered them he added an extra verse to Overnight Bag and unfortunately erased a very emotional cry from Rory near the end of Fuel To The Fire. I prefer the original.

No, never was said by Jimi about Rory. It was during a Dick Cavet show, when asked who was the greatest guitarplayer Jimi said he was sitting in his chair. Later it is said he thought Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top) was in his opinion the best. Here is a link you can see for yourself.
