This performance is definitely one of her best! The audience responded with appreciation to her athleticism and artistry! She performed that song with great connection to the lyrics. That's the reason she is a US champion, world champion and Olympic silver medalist!

I have always treasured this performance.

Though I had watched the 1988 and 1992 Olympics as a child, my fascination with skating started in Jan 1994 with the Nancy/Tonya saga. This competition program was the very first I had ever seen of Rosalynn Sumners and, I was simply blown away by her speed and grace. Definitely one of my very favorite performances of hers.

This, for mez is what skating is about.

rosalyn had great speed and her skid double axels had no prep. her jumps had fantastic landings and runouts. one can see that she knew figures well and used the lean and bend in the program. 1984 should have been her gold medal year. the olympic program was well planned but not delivered. she was the most complete female skater that year. gary visconti said that she was the most graceful feminine skater since peggy fleming. janet lynn is my top skater followed by rosalyn then dorothy hamill, they all knew edge work and the flow and bend to make magic

It's such a beautiful performance by Rosalynn and a great choice of music. If the announcers could just STFU and let everyone just enjoy the performance it would be exponentially better.
