A quick Beginner's Guide that tells you all you need to know and doesn't waste your time! Rose is a Powerful Spacing Character with Great Normals and Good Footsies! This tutorial will cover her Normals, Special Moves, Super, and Ultras. Plus, some Bread and Butter combos to get you started!
BUTTON TRANSLATION
Attacks
LK: light kick
MK: medium kick
HK: heavy kick
LP: light punch
MP: medium punch
HP: heavy punch
PP/KK: Ex Attacks
Directions:
f - forward
b - back
u - up
d - down
qcf - quater-circle forward
qcb - quarter-circle back
hcb - half circle back
hcf - half circle forward
FC - full cirlce
f, qcf - dragon punch
FADC - Focus Attack Dash Cancel

@TrueUnderDawgGaming: LP soul reflect does not only absorb the fireball for 1/2 meter, it also increases the damage of your own (next) projectile. This includes her Super and Ultra2 (second orb). Roughly the damage increase is ~5% per absorbed fireball and it stacks up to 7 fireballs. Hitting her does NOT make her lose the bonus. It only goes away after she fires a fireball OR the round ends (does not carry over).

Lp. Reflect also adds 5%/ max of 35% to subsequent fireball/super.

When Soul Piede hits the opponent in the air, it knocks down the opponent, allowing for juggles (e g. EX Soul spiral, Super etc.

She's a lot better now. I'm about to upload a series where I learn how to play her slowly but surely. I don't think that I'll ever be able to use her like Pros do, but she's a force to be reckoned with!

I actually had a couple of requests for her, but after Luffy won Evo I had to make it ASAP lol. Glad you enjoyed the video. Just make sure that you are aware of her differences from this version and AE.

I often have problems activating my ultra. Am I not pressing the right amount of buttons? I know it said three Ps, does this mean one of the ex buttons plus another punch?

somebody can help me plz? I bought USFIV last day. I Tried to do Ultra Combos with Rose, Poison, Ryu, alot of characters but i can't do it. I can only do Super Combos but Ultra not. plz help me!

When doing ultra you have to press all 3 kick or punch buttons and do the input depending on which. If your not playing on arcade stick you can set a button to act as all 3 punch or kick. Ex. Ryu's metsu hadoken if playing on xbox controller input is 2 down forward motions on the analog or stick followed by 3 punches. If set to default contols it should be the Lb button. If ps3 it should be the l1 button. And if arcade stick simply press all 3 punch buttons at once

I had to downvote this because it says beginners guide. Like, this is what beginners would need to know? I feel that if you can do everything presented in this video with Rose, you are at the very least already an intermediate. Beginners Guide would be like just learning her moves and what they're good for and that's it. They jump at you, do the soul throw, stuff like that; no advanced concepts. The combos in this video are either so hard to hit or are obsolete because of Capcom updates and tweaks to Rose (and perhaps other characters as well). For example, the combo @ 4:40... I've been trying it for like half an hour and I can't hit it. The motion for the soul reflect takes too long to finish, so that you won't have enough time to dash forward and do the soul throw while the opponent is in the air. Also, in that combo, the steps say to (supposedly) jump in with high kick, then do high punch when you land... but I tried it, and you can't connect a soul reflect with that; it needs to be a high punch while croaching to connect the soul reflect. I'm not trying to be a bitch and details, but I'm watching the video along side training mode with Rose in the game, and stuff doesn't add up. Basically her soul reflect motion is way too long for that combo to ever work; the dash comes in way too late to be in position for the soul throw.

+Juan Veliz You aren't doing the FADC. That's a Focus Attack Dash Cancel. You press (and hold) MP+MK during the Soul Reflect and then dash. After the dash, you do Soul Throw.

You already covered that! you talked about the sliding low kick going under the enemy for a follow-up throw, you talked about the dash how it's fast and the best in the game, whatever, we're done. nice video I guess, ill un-downvote it and leave it neutral haha. either way it helped me with my Rose

I might know why. Close MK is one of her moves jokingly said, I think, as being broken by Luffy the Evo2014 champ. It is great because it is invulnerable to throws, ultra throws, etc. and often gets a counter hit leading into easy combos. And since she has such an incredible throw range and combined with her ultra2 mixup, close MK is that much more a threat to the enemy. And for a Rose newb like myself, if you are at an in-between distance where you can't tell if close or far MK is going to come out, it doesn't matter as much b/c far st.MK is pretty darn safe in general as it is invulnerable to lows, too.

TrueUnderDawgGaming It's low/throw invincible, making it a mini-dive kick in that it stuffs crouch techs. It's among her best wake-up pressure option, creating a 50/50 between her amazing throw range and a throw invincible move.
