Wow, what a powerful statement made by such a young child who's been through so much. "There are bad and good people in this world and I can't tell the difference" - Millie

@Charlene G... very powerful indeed... that statement from this broken child Millie just pierced my heart. This is a statement a parent should be speaking to a child about in reference to “stranger danger” warning. I pray that Millie has found happiness, peace of mind, body and spirit with the help she needs to heal from such a horrible start in life. Blessings Millie. 2020

Patti Coppedge seriously. Most defense attorneys play dirty, and have to do tough things. Corrine Mull is just downright repulsive. She sounds like Aunt Lydia from Handmaiden Tale, but Aunt Lydia actually loves children to some extent. Corrine is not just despicable. She treats every witness like hot garbage, even her own. She is terrible at her job too from what I can see. I hope the Rosenbaums paid out the wazoo for her defense too 😆

I am sooo sick and tired of this Defense attorney. No way am I going to listen to her closing argument. Jennifer is guilty and the day the ME testified, the trial was over. Pretty convenient that the sister is testifying now about them falling off a ladder. Why hasn't this been brought up before? If I were a juror on this case, I would wonder why the hell J&J had a ladder up knowing the children would be playing around it. That's negligence on their part. This testimony fails to create doubt for me.

Exactly. She was well enough one day prior to Laila’s death to celebrate her sister’s birthday but the next night she’s lying in bed experiencing postpartum. What a nightmare she is.
@power2theppl8965 жыл бұрын
Earlier in the trial there was someone who said that Jennifer told a couple people that either one or both of the girls were injured by "falling down a stack of ladders" which made absolutely no sense to me and I'm assuming the sisters story is the incident they were talking about but all I heard from her was A ladder not s stack of them unless I heard her wrong. Regardless....the sister was not convincing. She seemed a little off to me in general but it was obvious she was trying to cover for evil Jennifer

The ladder has been brought up many times. This is just where the link to the ladder is revealed.
@jewellerylove4 жыл бұрын
Darla Nowak I’m pretty sure the ladder referred to before was a wooden one attached to the wall in a corner at G-Tech gym where Millie did gymnastics. One of Jennifer’s version of how Leila broke her leg was that she 1.Fell off a beam, 2.Fell off a bar, and 3.Fell off a ladder, all at the gymnastics gym. This is the first time a ladder in the back garden has been spoken about. It seems really shady to me that all of a sudden, right at the last minute, and just in the nick of time, Jennifer’s long lost sister testifies that the girls had an accident the day before Leila died!🤔🤨
@candacecooley98543 жыл бұрын
I’m trying to figure out why a ladder would be propped up against a tree for several years 🤦🏻♀️ the next thing- why would the ladder continue to stay up if the children were hurt on it? Isn’t the yard a child’s place to play? 3 that ladder did not look whether worn 🤷🏻♀️

This is what happens when you have no strategy. You need to line up as many folks as you can to come to the stand and say how wonderful Jennifer and Joseph were with the girls and focus on getting them to say they were active, loving and normal. The defense here is called "Power in Numbers" Defense. The more people you get saying that they more it will be planted on the jurors mind that all was normal therefore through repetition they will have that in their mind when confronted with anything else they hear. It's actually a real type of legal strategy but I am not sure what the statistics are on how it works if at all. I keep waiting for the defense to come out saying, "If it does not fit, you just acquit"!!! Wait for it peeps....its coming....

If Millie had nightmares, she experienced abuse, probability of mental abuse, and most definitely physical abuse. So as far as trauma of nightmares behind her sister's death is likely so. So, surely would have an affect on any child.
@nlcrme5 жыл бұрын
Delois Lee I completely agree with your statement. When I heard Millie's current counselor speak I believe for the first time we are getting some real insight into Millie's experiences, hardships and abuse from not only Jennifer and Joseph but her birth family as well. I am beginning to think had she and Laila been left at Patricia Lambert's home with Patricia's daughter who was her closest friend that these two girls would have had a chance to know true love, affection and caring. Here's my issue...the finger pointing towards Jennifer and Joseph alone is simply not enough. There needs to be more arrests starting with the person or persons who skirted around the proper procedures in approving Foster Parents, Fit of Kin Fostering, etc. not to mention the social worker Samantha White (I believe I have her name right). I want full accountability for everyone that played a part in this....my guess is that the others will get a free pass and that is just unacceptable to me.
@jennifers.38185 жыл бұрын
absolutely agree. But I can also say a child or anyone having nightmares doesn't necessarily mean they've been abused or experienced trauma. do not take that ti mean I think Millie didn't experience any of that, I 100% do believe she went thru horrific abuse and trauma. why would any parent of children that small leave a ladder like that up against a tree? AND her sister said it was there and her children climbed on it as well? If you are a foster parent you take classes AND you have inspections and they are all over "potential accidents" like ... I don't know, a complete random big ladder up against a tree?
@maryb66725 жыл бұрын
Aria E Appleford She didn’t take ANY classes bc she wasn’t really a foster home. She pulled some strings & got categorized as a kinship placement-which is a family member or friend & doesn’t receive monthly support checks from the state for the kids placed in the home. A kinship placement has much less requirements to meet. (Course she shouldn’t have one at all but that’s a different matter)

@@maryb6672 Aha ... well let's hope the agency doesn't let something like that ever happen again.
@maryb66725 жыл бұрын
Aria E Appleford well definitely not if someone isn’t a “kinship” home. Kinship placements are great for kids on a temp basis bc it allows kids to remain w/someone they are familiar with & hence are therefore less traumatic, But they definitely shouldn’t be used, as in this case, to get a family approved for kids bc they didn’t qualify as regular foster parents! I think I have figured out the whole getting in trouble for sleeping in the car thing. I don't think it was all of the time, but I think that it most likely happened when Jennifer had the kids out late after her meetings. She would sometimes bring the kids to meetings with her and then bring them with her when they went out to eat or out for coffee. That would make it a pretty late night for little ones. Imagine Jennifer getting home with a satchel or files or things she needed for the meeting along with a purse and a diaper bag. She would want the kids to wake up and walk in themselves like they did at the baby shower. But, being that late they were too sleepy to walk in. I remember having to carry my son in many times when we were out late and he was just too tired to wake up. They probably were told not to fall asleep on the way home, but couldn't help it. Jennifer probably would have been pretty angry at them for disobeying her even though they were overtired and had no choice.
@marisalynn93194 жыл бұрын
I agree completely and would like to add that for many kids that 20 minute nap in the car can sometimes give them hours of extra energy and make it extremely difficult for them to go back to sleep once they get in the house.

I agree with all of that and add in the fact that she wanted them to go to bed early to have free time from them and if they fell asleep in the car then they might not go right to bed. She can blame her own self if they fell asleep in the car. She took on foster kids and she should have been able to take care of them without having to worry about them falling asleep in the car because of all the stuff that she was doing at the time.

I noticed that when the witnesses are being sworn in that the oath ends in "so help you god". So what happens if an atheist like myself gets called to be a witness? I can't "swear" to any god. I wonder if they just leave that part off? I honestly thought that part of an oath had been dropped a long time ago.

You can just affirm your word for the truth. So, you will not have God to help you ever in this evil world. Or maybe you are one of the evil ones!

An atheist or non Christian can choose only to affirm their word and they do not have to swear on the bible.

youre not "swearing" to a God though. It doesn't say, "I swear to God" or " " I swear on the Lords name"

This retired Dr who likes to toot his horn is a disgrace to his profession. Is he sound of mine? Lailas injuries, internal and external, in the healing process old and new were that of a battered ... bruised and broken toddler that succumbed to her abusers. What doesn’t he get?! Does the doc say what he is being paid by the Defense? I know they asked a State's expert, so fair game I assume...

And no matter how much, he is a disgusting human being for being paid off ($ or attention because he knows he is a useless waste of his former self and needs to feel important!) to defend these monsters and the brutality this baby and her sister endured.

Oh my gosh it is clear as daylight Lorraine Banks Jennifer’s sister is lying under oath. Talking about the ladder and how Millie and Laila fell off the ladder. When questioned about it, she probably couldn’t remember which side the hip injuries were at the time of Laila’s death. Lorraine you are as bad as your abuser sister. To lie not only under oath but at the expense of this little babies, I think DFACS need to keep an eye on you with your kids. The old lady who spoke about Laila sitting on her lap the whole time back and forth with Jennifer’s phone saying “daddy I love you” only to be said by Lorraine Banks that she was on Jennifer’s lap with Jennifer’s phone. Mrs Defence when you bring witnesses to the stand make sure they get their stories right when they lie under oath
