Yukta was very articulate about the Indian beauty standard. Eyes- large and almond shaped, straight nose, thick long black hair, soft features, glowing skin and confidence with modesty. Its essentially the toughest but the most sought after beauty standard not just in India but the entire world. A mix of everything. As soon as the post colonial White-skin obsession goes to the mud, the country will see the best faces come out on the international forum.

Indian women...when they're gorgeous, they really are gorgeous and take everyone's breath away. I think their intelligence and charisma also adds to this mix. I find them to be very articulate and good communicators. I feel the same way with Filipino's. I also think Italian women are also attractive, as well as Lebanese or Israeli women as well. Japanese females are also stunning, and I've grown to appreciate Korean women as well. Honestly speaking, I'm a fan of all sorts of features be it ivory skin or ebony skin, but I tend to find the ethnicities mentioned to be quite attractive.

Ana was very accurate about Brazil when she said we don't have a very defined beauty standard. For us, liking a curvy black girl with curly hair is just as valid as liking a fit pale redhead with blue eyes, it all comes down to personal preference. If any of the girls in the video came to Brazil, they could easily pass as natives due to how mixed we are, no one would assume they're foreigners. In fact, almost half or Brazil identify themselves as "Pardo", which is basically a name for people without a defined race.

I just love to see so many smart young women explaining their cultures and listening to the discussions of others. I think that how they all interact is lovely. I hope more of the world watches them and learns because when I see these videos, I have more hope for the generation they represent.

Even in countries with a lot of diversity (like Brazil and India here) there will be beauty standards that one can quickly pinpoint by seeing a few examples of the "most beautiful women". We can even see that here, where most women brought as examples were actually quite similar (with the Indian one being more different from the rest): lighter skin, thin body, long straight hair...

Seriously, we have people from all over the world: Eastern and Western Asia, all over Europe and Africa, and of course several other countries of South America. I just wouldn't be able to pick just one set of personality and beauty traits.

I think everyone is beautiful and there is no need to decide which country has the most beautiful women or beauty standards as they are constantly changing. beauty has all aspects just only being beautiful physically wouldn't make anyone beautiful because beauty comes with uniqueness and being real. You are different and original and that's why you are beautiful. I know it's important to have good appearance but confidence, independence, heart, intelligence, and character make it more beautiful. Yes, there’s the obvious physical attraction when you first meet someone you’ve never met before. However, beyond that the two most important traits that attract me to a woman is her intelligence and her personality. Intelligence and a good personality is something that mostly transcends nationality. For example, in this video I like assertiveness and confidence of the Austrian girl, and the sweet and polite personality of the Indian girl. That’s much more attractive to me than nationality.

I am Indian, I would rate Indian beauty to be higher than the rest of the world, they are gorgeous, natural beauty, people will call u a clown here if u go through plastic surgery. I mean just look up the beauty contests, since 1990 we have won so many beauty pageants like Miss World and Universe. Look up for Aishwarya Ray, Lara Dutt, Priyanka Chopra etc. Second on my list would be the Latin Americans, some of them look very similar to Indians and they got that beautiful tan skin. Salma Hayek for example. Next in the list would definitely be the Russians and the Italians.

There are over 2000 ethnic groups in India (or say South Asia). Mainly mega groups like Indo-Aryan (Most of Northern India), Dravidian (Most of Southern India), Austronesian (Malaysian looking), Tibetan (Chinese looking), Iranian, Pakhtoon, Kashmiri, etc etc. Every group has their own beauty.

It's really fascinating to me how human beings come in all shapes and colors, I couldn't imagine how it would be if people had the same features, the same color and all like I can't describe it in words but it's beautiful, when I was young I really did judge people with darker skin but now I really came to appreciate all different colours, especially that in middle school I got tan like strong tan and some people were so judgemental, not just that but still I think it played a huge part in that and now I'd say that a tanned skin is amongst my ideal type.

Irene talk about Spain being mixed and it is. In Catalonia for instance, we got a lot of immigration from different parts of Spain, especially from the south, Andalusia mostly. We tend to have brown eyes and brown hair. But just in one family everything changes, my skin is darker than my sister's, I have a blonde blue eyed first cousin, etc. Genetics and how much everyone gets play an important role. I took the MyHeritage ancestry DNA test and my results were surprising, well, the fact that I'm an 87,5% Iberian wasn't much of a surprise. And since it was the bigger range it specified in different regions: Catalonia, south of France, South of Spain and here's the small surprise: Algeria was included on the Iberian list. Then a 7% Middle Eastern: Syria, Iran, Irag, Egypt, Israel, Arabia... The percentage was the surprise here, not the result, just like Irene explained, Arabs were in the Iberan Penninsule for a long time so makes sense. And then the big surprise, turns out I'm a 5,5% Irish, Scottish and Welsh (not English 🤷🏽‍♀️). So there you go, a proof of how mixed we are.
