I really hope a lot of novices seek this video. I see to many people bashing rovan saying “there junk” and they are complete beginners. These are basically power sports equipment and should be treated in that way. I can’t wait to get a tmr motor for mine.

top notch advice on the EPA setting for the throttle servo, those servos are super strong and will bend the throttle linkage easily, along with cause the throttle arm on the carb to take huge forces and eventually cause damage in the slide mechanism itself.

Thanks my brother!!! Yes what it does is it wares out the bushings on the throttle shaft in the carburetor. So important to set that stuff.

Thanks brother!!! New car smell is one of the best smells in the world to me my man!!! It will be nice to see how this 30.5 ripps i’ve had a 29 and a 36 but I’ve never had a 30.5.

Oh yes brother they are so fun I love both of mine!!! I guess it probably goes with everything either get a good one or a bad one I just don’t think I’ve got a bad one yet LOL 😂

Great video bro. I just recently got a new Baja and dealt with some similar stuff. Good pointer for the rear toe. I had to adjust that as well.

nothing like a new ROVAN right?? Honestly I think a lot of the checking each bolt and stuff like that is just storytelling form the early days of the LOSI brand, it's highly possible the guys who say you gotta take it apart and put it back together are just thinking of poorly assembled early LOSI products. Honestly I have never checked any screws on any Rovan, and they have all been perfect.

Nothing like a Rovan brother!!! I don’t think I’m going to be taking apart the car I’m just gonna go over all the fasteners and make sure they have Loctite on them especially the very important ones that seem to always have issues. I usually rip them out of the box throw gas in them and start driving them LOL 😝

@@eastsiderc The one thing I absolutely must do is pull the trans out and make sure it’s all good I’ve already went over all the fasteners with Loctite that need it.

Thanks my brother 👍🏼💪🏼I’ve ran both and I find that I prefer no toe in. I like my machines to roll as freely as possible. All my Taylor RC rear hub carriers are 0 toe. You will also find over time the hole will waller out the pin slides through with toe in or out.

Rear end needs 1 or 2 degrees tow in, so as to run straight under acceleration.

No for that issue I like to use heavier differential fluid. I have a video on that as well.

Are you still mixing at 50:1? If so will the VP 50:1 they sale at tractor supply work. Its ethanol free and 94 octane.

I run 100to 1 right now. I don’t think I would buy fuel premixed because you don’t know what oil they use.

What’s up bro, I like your channel. I just purchased a Rovan baja 5B 30.5cc buggy and I'm trying to upgrade the pinion-gear and spur gear for more speed any suggestions?

Thanks bro👍🏼 yeah they come with 17/57 gears from the factory you could try 18/56 gears or if you don’t want to go that route get some larger diameter tires.

Great question I don’t have a rechargeable battery in my transmitter so I wouldn’t know how to tell 👍🏼

On the website it says to check the oil in the shocks and diff did you do that or will it be OK? Thinking of getting one

What do you prefer more the power pipe or rpm

I like the power pipe myself. The rpm pipe only gets about 3-400 rpm more but it seems it robs a third of the torque. In that case I will keep the torque because that rpm loss can be made up with gears ⚙️ as far as speed goes.

I agree. This video could have been aimed at a beginner who just bought their first Rovan but too many times I was thinking “geez I wonder what he is talking about”. I’m sure he is correct but he just didn’t explain anything very well. Except for opening the box. He made sure to spend the first 5 mins opening the box so you didn’t miss any details!
