I remember at the time wanting Richards at United just after his burst onto the scene year. But he never really got back to it. And therefore you cannot beat the consistency that Neville offered over such time, the leadership, squad solidity, continuity. Neville could actually cross, understood his RW partner, understood CB covering. He might not be flashy or TAA for example, but he was a vital cog in the machine. Micah had great physicality, was explosive and a real handful to come up against. Had the build that could cover CB well, the stamina for RB. But after all is said and done he wasn't fit enough and didn't prove it over an extended time. In the end he reminds me of how I got excited over the physicality and potential of Saidy Janko and Fosu Mensah only to be underwhelmed.

I love the way Gary looked straight at Keane as his captain, and he didn't disappoint. Bang on it !

Gary Neville is without doubt 1 of the best full backs to play in the Premier league. No airs and graces but a solid 7/10 every week for about 13 years. Won everything there is to win under the greatest manager. If he was good enough for all that, he's certainly better than Micah Richards.
