It still hurts my soul to this day how far Saints Row fell off. Not only because this game is everything that is NOT what Saints Row is about, but because this was supposed to finally give Rockstar Games some competition. But Volition and Deep Silver fumbled it in the absolute worst way possible. RIP Saints Row 2006 - 2022

I feel so bad for you, Saints Godzilla, flippy, Jb11, Starsense, kutthroatballa and the community as a whole. I feel like i have wasted my time as a fan of saints row when we have the community manager labeling us a Toxic terrorists for just criticizing the game, a company that continues to pretend they listen to us when they don't and no hope for the franchise as a whole. This game feels like the perfect personification of the current modern gaming development world as whole. Its like now I have to be ashamed of myself just for me wishing a good game nowadays. The worst part is realizing that we will not be getting another saints row game in a long time now. What did we do to deserve this??

The saddest part is that, watching someone else play this dlc, it's obvious they put more effort into this, between locations and new outfits, and some actually decent cutscenes from a technical standpoint. It's obvious that volition doesn't want to make a gangster game, and haven't wanted to since after saints row 2. I'd rather these devs have made their millennial larp fantasy game without attaching it to the Saints Row name.

RIP. The open world gangster genre is at a drought yet again.

The greatest thing that could happen to the Saints Row IP is for it to be bought by another studio or someone ANYONE that knows what Saints Row is and actually wants to bring it back even with hints and changes for "the modern audience" or "modern times"

I hope we get AT LEAST a port of the first two games for ps4/5. The very first saints row is pretty much a relic lost to time at this point.

Sad part is that after this games failure, they are just gonna now say that "nobody bought the game. We tried our best but wasn't good enough i guess". Bullsh*t! Its almost like they purposely tanked this IP so they could just toss it aside for something worse and start fresh. Instead of taking criticism properly and fixing things with the sequel they are just gonna dump it and leave it dead. Cause them going back and doing a proper sequel would basically be them apologizing and taking responsibility and admiting they were wrong. And thats never happening.

The devs chose this decision not to deliver a good saints row game and now they put themselves in this mess. Hoping for a saints row 2 remaster, but I doubt it will not happen.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Volition should be held accountable for pissing on a corpse.

While I don't think it's a bad game necessarily, I remember Hitman: Absolution being very divisive when it came out. So the following Hitman games were more or less going back to the Blood Money-esque roots. Volition instead chooses to double down without even half the number of defenders Absolution had.

Funny how delusional Volition was when they were asked about what they'd do about the people who didn't like it, and they laughed it off. They kept telling themselves that everyone who criticized them against this terrible reboot they envisioned were just a mere minority. Then its released and its awful, only to get more of the things people hated. "Are we out of touch.. its everyone else who is wrong." My god, how ignoring your audience for so long does. What "positive feedback" did they get from fans?

Man Saints Row Reboot is a perfect example of what happens when you mix karens, diversity hires, safe space losers, wimps, crybullies, and the power of X/Twitter. You get this abomination of a video game that thinks its hardcore by talking about student loans, unfunny jokes, waffles, lol so random, and friendship. This game was made for people who are too scared to play GTA and want the warm comfort of a kids' game, giving the game an M rating is an insult. I had high hopes for this game but once I saw that trailer I immediately thought "Is this a new Fortnight season? Oh wait it's just Saints Row nevermind."

I hated the Larping missions in the base game. I wanted to see gang warfare with heavy story like it was in Saints Row 1/2 even with mexican cartels, but unfortunately it turn out to be the worst game of 2022.🤬

It's a niche hobby which is already *very* easy to point and laugh at, and here they are making it the focus of a DLC centered around a bunch of unlikable doofuses in the midst of an idiot plot, which actively dumps on a legacy people have loved for years.

I got the game for free from PSN and I was at least amused that one of the top rated community boss models was a surprisingly accurate rendition of Uncle Ruckus. I like to imagine to imagine the Volition devs in their cry room sucking their thumbs about that.

"Agents of Mayhem" should have been a sign. I actually bought the game (on the cheap, of course) and it was horrible. I don't know if this "Saints Row" reboot was as bad though. I guess I'll never know.

I do too pray that they really reboot Saints Row 1 and Saints Row 2 with updated character models, same gangs with a few added additions like the European gang that the Rollers was working with in part one. Then have the rest of the akuji family as the last of the ronin looking to get revenge for Akuji and Shogo. New areas, new cribs and things to put in them. That shit will be awesome.

This series isnt getting a DMC5 treatment because this is made by Volition themselves, DmC is made by Ninja Theory, not Capcom.

Controversial opinion but Advanced warfare is way better than black ops 3. Far better campaign, zombies was more basic and not as convoluted as b03, and the multi-player was more enjoyable due to better maps, and more fun exo movement. Bit weird to say this on a saints row video but had to be said .

I would rather play Postal 3 than ever buy this game because Postal 3 is actually funny

I got it because it's free now and all I been doing is going to locations on the map and shooting a bunch of people or picking/dropping something off and shooting a bunch of people. It's so repetitive.

I honestly take this game over 4 any day, cuz they ruined it with the aliens.

This game had a moment in it's life where GTA didn't cast it's ever-growing financial shadow. Definitely a loss for the series and more so for the community.

I actually enjoyed the LARPing story and DLC. The main game story sucks, and while LARPing isn’t very Saints Row, I actually enjoyed it being a nerd myself, it’s a decent break from the shit show that is this game. I also didn’t mind the Saints in here but that’s probably because they were pretending to be different characters, so their personality changed, and the cringe dialogue actually works here because of the goofy setting, while it’s terrible in the rest of the game as the Saints are supposed to be bad ass gangsters, but look more like SJW losers. But it’s also terrifying that the LARPing was what I had the most fun with aside from basic gameplay which isn’t too bad now.

The DLC is written to be just as bad as I expected it to be. Like why there is some focus on stealth missions in the Hazardous DLC when the Saints made jokes about how they don't do stealth. Its been a gag of them. Like using a tank to follow a truck, or Gat's idea to just go gunsblazing to raid a Casino. Volition really doesnt understand this IP to be telling fans anything. This reboot is just a nonfactor to me. Another game that shouldnt be called "Saints Row." Volition should just admit thats not what they were making.

The developers simply don't know what else to do with the game. I think they originally intended to expand the story with DLCs. But that and the characters blew up in their faces pretty quickly and they probably scrapped their original plans.
