Ordered a C Grade No. 1 Mk III* Enfield from Royal Tiger Imports. I received one made in 1936 by the Birmingham Small Arms (BSA) factory in England. Overall complete and in good condition minus the forend, with a good bore and a decent amount of original finish. While rough and dirty, this one was certainly worth the cost and made for a nice project to restore it. Replaced the forend and top handguards with Indian surplus.
Unboxing video: • Royal Tiger Imports C ...
Pros
-Good amount of original finish remaining
-Doesn't appear to have been wire wheeled much
-Uncommon 1936 date
-Uncommon Iraqi markings
-Good bore
-Complete and has a early stacking swivel
-Good value for the money
Cons
-None based on the price and much better than advertised

As usual, a very informative video. that rifle came up very well, considering. Here in Australia we don't have access to RTIs, but as we made No1 MKIIIs up until 1956, there's still a good supply of Lithgows around. I myself have a 1941 Lithgow. Looking forward to your next Lee Enfield video.

Thanks! Lithgows are my favorite personally.

Well, on the plus side, at least your inner band wasn't brazed on the barrel like my C grade, but definitely check your headspace. I've checked all my Enfields from them and surprisingly they all checked ok. Thanks for sharing, it looks like it turned out pretty decent. The Iraqi markings are pretty cool.

I was tempted to buy a C grade but passed on that and bought a Mannlicher carbine cutdown and a few other stuff.

Be careful with their guns. I bought a number 4 mark 1. Had great rifling in it and good shape. Head space was terrible. The concussion was terrible. So I need different heads to fix the headspacing, but just be careful when you shoot it.

I think that's just a No.4 Mk1 problem. They were cranking them out so quickly that headspace tolerances got a bit wonky at times. I've seen mint ones (not stored in barns in Africa after being put away dirty) that absolutely destroy brass due to excessive headspace. They're not unsafe to shoot, but you can't reload their brass more than a couple times before it blows out at the base.

Yeah its really good for a C grade but how many did you have to buy before you got that one

I've gotten a total of 5 C Grade No. 1 Mk 3's from them, only one was toast with a rung barrel. Every other one had an acceptable barrel/no broken stocks other than cracked handguards or minor parts needed such as he did in the video

Ive gotten three C Grade No 1s from RTI. I have videos posted on two on my channel. I have yet to post a video or take the third one apart and inspect it but it looks pretty good so far. The other two which includes this one have great bores and pass all my gauges.
