Season 9 Episode 8 (Landlord) features Nottingham representative ‘Switchblade’, founder of the rap collective ‘The Landlordz’.
We had a last minute cancellation so we were grateful that he could make it down and have him share his turbulent life journey on the RTM sofa.
Hailing from St Anne’s, Switchblade talks us through what it was like growing up in Nottingham; school days; getting into music and starting the group ‘The Landlordz’; doing a mixtape with SN1 called ‘Narm 2 Notts’; getting shot and a lot more. Switch says that Giggs stole the name ‘Landlord’ when Switch went jail and he’s not happy about it.
After bringing us up to date with what he’s doing now; we put Jay through his ‘RTM Fire Round’ and got into some ‘Current Affairs’ and the main subject was ‘The Landlord’. After having a break for some ‘RTM Banter’, we got into the ‘RTM Dilemma’ and ‘Book Suggestion’ which closed the show as usual along with some RIP’s & 3’s.

Just seen something on here about who should be in the show. Keep trina and chron. Ice cream needs her own show! Stacy Dooley style but hood topics and interests. Food, music, supply chains, black businesses, artists old and new, near and far, raves etc. get her out to challenge her pro black thoughts and get her challenging others’ thoughts on subjects. She also needs a women’s pod that spray pops up on every now and again with the male perspective and his comedy style. Cream is big and needs to build on a lane that she is. Her brand could be large ❤
