Rob is missing that Aegon got blamed by Aemond so they wouldn't tip Viserys off to Allicent being the one that told both of them they're more in line for the throne than Rhaenyrs's bastard children. That's why Aegon gave a confused "Me?" knowing it was Allicent, then he quickly realized in the time it took the king to get to him *why* he was blamed instead of his mother. So when Aegon says "we just know, we all do, just look at them" it's not that he just thinks that and is saying it to be that dude, he's trying to avoid getting his mother in trouble.

Cole not maiming a child on command is the most honorable he's been all series.

Rhaenyra Targeryan is a very supportive wife. She supported her gay husband and allowed him to be with his lovers, get drunk, encourage him to be with them and even faked his death so he can live a happy gay life with Ser Carl. Thats how allies behave 🙏🏻

Rhaenyra is really in a no-win situation. She’s married to a man who doesn’t want her, yet she’s responsible for producing heirs to strengthen her claim, as her father said to her when he first told her to marry. So what is she to do? She tried with Laenor, unfortunately to no avail. Either she has her brood of brown-haired children or she has no children, and either way, the court will look at it as her fault.

Viserys aged like spoiled milk in regards to looks but his character gets better and better each episode. There was no way to please the entire room during the argument but where as Robert allowed Cercei to have Sansa's wolf killed, Viserys didn't budge despite all his wife's demands.

Daemon was laughing at the funeral to draw attention away from Rhaenyra's kids. Everyone was watching the boys when Corlys brother was talking about "the blood" and etc. This episode just shows that Viscerys really has no control over anyone. Man, was this a rollercoaster 🔥

Aemond didn't steal Vhagar, dragons are not hereditary. You must claim it and the dragon ultimately decides whether you are worthy or not.

Let's be real, the name thing is not about love for his grandchildren, Corlys just wants that legacy, he has been trying from the start by trying to have his 12 year old daughter marry the king. About Daemon laughing at the funeral, I believe it is that Vaemond was making a veiled comment about Rhaeynra's children being bastards during the farewell speech he gave for Laena, while using their kids and Laena's dead body in the process to do so. Daemon per usual caught on and the laugh was probably at the absurdity of it all. Like here is my wife being put to rest and these people are still going on about the politics. Not EVERYTHING he does is about Rhaenyra. That will make him too one-dimensional. The guy had a whole 10 years life away from all this bullshit and the moment he is back to bury his wife, he is thrown back again into the politics at his own wife's funeral. It was just absurd and it made him laugh.

Alicent demanding an eye for an eye because of what happened to her kid is something I could picture many parents in an medieval setting doing in a similar situation if their kid lost an eye. It would likely be normal protocol in these situations. We saw eye for an eye justice in ep. 1 when Daemon gave justice to criminals. They only reasons the eye wasn't taken in response was 1) Viserys is kinder than the average lord or king in this world, and 2) he's not going to take the eye of his grandkid. In modern times, we always see parents act irrational when something happens to their kid. A medieval environment would amplify that because of the laws in place

Rhaenyra's kids (with Harwin, but legally with Laenor): Jacerys and Lucarys. Jace is her heir; Luke is in line for Corlys's seat at Driftmark. She also has baby Joffrey. Daemon's kids (with Laena): Baela and Rhaena. Rhaena is the one without a dragon. Baela threw hands for her sis and also took Jace's hand at the funeral, presumably because she knows the truth of his parentage, so she knows they both lost a parent.

Rhaeynra was used as a pawn by Otto to spite daemon & prevent daemon from being heir; Otto is the one who suggested that Viserys name Rhaeynra his heir. Viserys didn’t do HIS job, which is the start of all these issues. Rhaeynra did what Viserys should’ve done, married a velaryon. Rhaeynra had to produce heirs but her husband does not like women & couldn’t do his duty. Her & laenor tried, so they weren’t that dismissive of the law & their duty. Why would Rhaeynra cop to her kids being bastards and sign her & their death certificates? Why would Viserys admit/confirm that Rhaeynra’s kids are bastards, and bring about their death? Rhaeynra & all the 3 boys would be put to death; if I’m Rhaeynra I’m standing 10 toes down. Period. Alicent hates that the king turns a blind eye to rhaenyra’s bastard kids, but he gave her the same grace this episode; she’s been committing treason by spreading the unconfirmed info about Rhaenyra’s kids. She also cut the heir to the thrown. Alicent talks about how rhaenyra dismisses the law, but so does she. Did Alicent report her dad for treason; Otto was trying to get Alicent to convince the king to unname rhaenyra & name aegon as heir, did she report that criston betrayed his vows, has she reported that Larys strong murdered his dad & brother? No, bc it benefits her. Alicent is not some innocent bystander, especially after this episode. And if I’m rhaenyra, IDGAF about alicents kids eye; for YEARS you’ve been trying to get info confirmed that would be the cause of my death & the death of my kids. Girl f!ck you. For YEARS you have been stirring the pot & throwing stones, & I’ve let it rock. Now? It’s game on. Oh and also, if I’m Rhaeynra, Alicent, you were secretly meeting with my DAD & allowed me to be blindsided by y’all’s marriage announcement! If my friend is screwing my dad, we’re not friends anymore & I owe you nothing; no truth, no loyalty, nothing.

Aemond didn’t do anything wrong by taking the dragon. Dragons don’t pass from parents to children and the dragon has to choose its rider. Vhagar was also technically his grandfather’s dragon before Laena claimed her - so if anything he brought the dragon back to his family. Edit: while the timing sucks with the funeral, Aemond may have had only that chance to claim her. She was otherwise free and could have flown off anywhere - he doesn’t live in Driftmark and lives far away in King’s Landing.

Guys.... Daemon laughed to take the attention away from Rhaenyra's kids. In Laena's uncle's speech he was implying the "blood was thin".....meaning the kids were bastards. So that was Daemon deflecting any unwanted attention away from Rhae.

Alicent basically admitted her jealousy when she went after Rhaenyra with the knife, she said "what have I done besides what was expected of me", she was referring to how she did her duty, obeyed the law and sacrificed her body to a crusty rotting old man while Rhaenyra got banged by hot studs without consequences. So Alicent hates Rhaenyra for that reason.

Nah, her dad put her dad in a terrible situation. Rhaenyra is heir to the throne, and the lord-sworn 10 years prior. He’s let opponents undermine his legacy and his decision. His lack of resolve and weakness created this. He remained married to Alicent after being made aware of Otto’s scheming, he refused to consolidate his legacy and remove substantial worry by refusing to marry Rhaenyra and Aegon II, placed Otto back in a position of power, and continuously caved to Alicent. Even Otto recognizes that with the line what can he do, in his conversation with Alicent. He’s not decisive enough and now, the players know. I can guarantee you Aegon the Conqueror wouldn’t have this problem.

Aemond being able to fight the way he does is because of how Criston Cole’s bitch ass trained him and Aegon. He spent more time with them than Rhaenyra’s kids that’s why Aemond prevailed.

Even tho Rhaenyra kinda fucked up by having kids that were not by laenor, atleast the kids were loved by Laenor as if they were his. In the scene where alicent wanted to take the eye of Lucerys, you see Rhaenys holding and protecting the kids, those kids were accepted by their grandparents and loved.

People need to understand that no one "owns" a dragon. They are free, they get bonded with a rider and stay with that person but they are not owned by anyone.

He told the king it was aegon because he knew that he wouldn’t get punished. He was protecting his mom and aegon sobered up and clocked it really fast. And you can’t steal a dragon, the timing may have been off but dragons choose their riders, so if the Rhaena had tried to claim her instead then she probably would’ve been burnt because clearly Vhagar was meant to be bonded to Aemond

Rhaenyra isn't exactly the greatest person ever but I still would support her over the Greens. Aegon himself doesn't seem like that bad of a guy but he also doesn't seem like that responsible of a person. And giving more power to Otto and Alicent seems like a mistake.

So many fans seem to forget about the prophecy when discussing Rhaenyra's choice to have bastard children and why Viserys doesn't care. A great winter is coming that will destroy mankind unless a Targaryen from her line is leading. Viserys not seeing the white stag for Aegon confirms this the same way as Rhaenyra seeing it. Understanding the weight of her choices, she rejects Criston's proposal, marries Laenor, and when they can't have children, has bastard children. Her son's dark hair isn't helpful, but that can't be controlled. All Rhae and Viserys can do is stand their ground and try to keep the throne from ending up in the wrong hands. Her choices make sense when considering her top priority is saving Westeros.

As far as incest is concerned, at least Daemon and Rhaenyra are consenting adults, unlike the marriage the hypocrite Alicent is forcing on Aegon and Helaena.

This is the main reason why nobody in King's Landing and many of the scheming other houses wanted Stannis to become king in his era. Everyone recognized his rule to the thrown, and like Rhaenyra's position, they knew he had it by right. They didn't want him king for the same reason why they wanted Renly to be king and why people are taking advantage of this king. He's simply too quick and easily manipulated. They knew Stannis would immediately have people killed or remove their hands for pulling dumb shit and EVERYONE within King's Landing where schemers. Stannis had all the good qualities of being a king. He was was wise (knowing when to listen and take advice), tough (knowing when to make the hard decisions), and a sense of justice (knew right from wrong). Every other king but Viserys's grandfather only had one quality, but not the other two needed. Joffrey was tough but lacked the other two. Tommen was kind, but like Visery's, too weak and easily manipulated. Robert was tough and cared about justice, but cared so little about the kingdom to ever hear advice. Tywin mentions the three things needed to be king to Tommen when it was his turn to be one. Every single time a king is put in position without the three qualities, war always breaks out for succession of that position. The scheming houses always try make sure they can get a king who doesn't have all three to make it easier for them to get their own kids as potential royalty later down the line. Visery's is wise enough to listen to advice and KNOWs what justice is, but too weak to ever pass it down. This is why everyone who he knows is wronging him gets to leave and come back to do it all over again.

Vhagar is the oldest dragon. Dragons have been mentioned as a very intelligent creatures in the show and since Vhagar is the oldest one, she knows that she can’t accept anyone who tries to ride her. That’s why she tested Aemond with that wild ride to prove that he worth it.

In Aemonds defense and I see many people make this specific mistake. He didn't do anything wrong in this episode. Vhagar was indeed free to be claimed, but dragon has to chose his/her own rider. Its not like anybody can just claim them. So Vhagar made her own decision, she was not forced to serve Aemond. He offered himself to her and she saw something in him! Now Aemond was indeed on a power trip after that flight true, but what he said about the Pig for the daughter to ride on was in direct reference to what both Aemonds brother Aegon AND Rhaenyras sons were all part of, which was that Pink Dread prank they pulled on Aemond earlier in the season! They all mocked him for being the only one without a dragon! So he called them back on it! After the daughters assaulted Aemond (which from all the information that we got / saw), he was attacked for no significant reason! It is also fair to point out that he lashed out only AFTER he was attacked. The stone thing is of no importance as he was directly attacked by 4 opponents. In short the 2nd son of the King was attacked by his own family members! If the king was anybody aside for Vyserys, both the daughters and Rhaenyras sons would have been executed for treason! Which points out exactly why Rhaenyra is the true cause of this struggle! She takes no responsibility and indirectly causes suffering of others including her own family.

I always wondered too if Laenor was just shooting blanks because everyone is imbreeded as hell. So maybe they actually had sex, but nothing stuck. Now that the Hightowers have captured the dragon blood using Alicent's girlie bits.. they can inbreed a new Hightower dynasty with an army of dragon riders. Alicent's children are also evil or freaks. The reason I know the Hightowers are worse...Otto said that dragon was worth 1000X the price his grandson paid. His grandson means nothing to him. He'd give 1000 grandkids for that dragon.. Power & dragons. The realm would suffer terribly under any of Otto's foul progeny. At least Rhanerya's children seem capable of empathy, love & loyalty to each other. Alicent's are all sociopaths & her favorite Aemond is the absolute worst one after getting the dragon.

Daemon WASN'T going to kill Laena. He asked if she would survive the C-section and when the doctor said no he shook his head. Daemon definitely isn't a great person, and he wasn't in love with Laena, but he wouldn't have had her cut open like Viserys had done to Aemma, whom he DID love.

Alicent is wilding because her son literally lost an eye, he is the King’s son. Viserys isn’t treating their kids like his kids and that’s fucked up. Rhaenyra put their whole house in a bad position with how she moves. Yes she was forced into this marriage but she also had a tour arranged so she could pick a man to marry that she ditched with 2 months left. Acting is so top tier on this show. Just a couple of weeks ago we were all wondering about the time jump and how the older Rhaenyra would be like. Emma D'arcy is so good. Maybe it's just me, but watching this episode, I'm not even thinking about it in terms of performance, I'm just watching Rhaenyra Targaryen. And the kids fight scene: the acting was great, everything was motivated and logical, how the fight played out, in terms of physical fighting, and the children's psychology, the real consequences ... masterfully done, The detail put into a fantasy show is amazing.

In the last episode, when Queen Alicent tells Aemond that he will have a dragon (after he returns from the dragonpit) Helaena says immediatly after "You'll have to close one eye" she saw him claiming his dragon Vhagar before it happened! Viserys put all that burden on her, not the other way around. Other then Rhaenyra sleeping around, she isnt as bad as most especially Alicent. Alicent preaches duty and honor, but her son Aegon is the most despicable human being ever. On top of that, Rhaenyra set Laenor free, most would not have done that.

Before Daemon, Caraxes was ridden by Prince Aemon, Rhaenys’ father. Neither she nor Laenor nor Laena inherited Caraxes. Before Rhaenys, her dragon Meleys was ridden by Princess Alyssa, Viserys and Daemon’s mother. Neither they nor Rhaenyra inherited Meleys.
