RTX 3050 Test in 40 Games at 1080p
Some of the games on this list are very demanding that we couldn't even maintain 60+ FPS even with DLSS turned on at ultra settings. That is why I've reduced the demanding settings of these games to high or medium while the rest are on ultra to produce stable 60+ FPS at native 1080p resolution (I call them "custom ultra settings" which gives nearly same visuals as ultra but with way better performance and stability). DLSS provides near-native resolution quality while also providing better than native in some games but keep in mind that the performance will be limited by the CPU in some of these CPU-demanding games with DLSS turned on. DLSS is extremely CPU demanding feature so if you're having an 8 or 12 core CPU, you'll get slightly better performance but in my case, my 6 core i5 is facing a slight bottleneck with DLSS. It's not a big issue, because we're getting 99-100% of our GPU at native resolution and even with DLSS it's nearly at 99-100% except some CPU limited games, where it's 80-90% but That is more than enough for a casual gamer. i have rtx 3050 i3 12100f 16GB ram, solid 60 fps 1080p gameplay on highest settings and on some more demanding games you need to lower your graphics a bit to get stable framerate. Great mid range graphics card!

Very capable gpu for 1080p on high and occasionally ultra. Tho you’d mostly use high settings since ultra is more for 1440p

surprisingly, considering its not that expensive in retrospect, its a pretty solid mid level graphic card to start with. i never understood the hate it gets now days but thats just me. though my experience might differ because i run my 3050 with a intel Core i9-13900H with the cpu and graphics card professionally overclocked and liquid cooling system... so my experience probably differs.

And your experience isn't different from other people either, in any kind of gaming load that 13900H is going to be heavily bottlenecked by 3050 and no amount of "professional overclocking" can fix this. People see comments like this, go pay 300 dollars for a 200 dollar card, and nvidia keeps up their stupid pricing because people buy their cards no matter.

This is not really a bad gpu for the price. I have this card and i never had drop under 30fps in any case, mostly 50+fps on maxed out settings. Not to mention i have 1080p monitor 😂 i also have 8gb version.

I use 1440p dlss quality to get even better visuals to performance. I use DLDSR on my 1080p monitor to scale up to 1440p. Then use dlss quality at 1440p to get 970p. So its a bit lower than 1080p but looks better than native 1080p. I run 1440p DLSS Quality + high settings and always get 60 fps average.

@@josephjalappat8673 The laptop rtx 3050 only has 4GB of Vram(mine is the desktop rtx 3050 that comes with 8GB of Vram) and you said you have 8 GB of ram, spiderman miles morales recommended ram requirements is 16GB. Just put another 8GB ram(is like 15-20 dollars) stick in and run on 1080 medium to high settings that would stop your stuttering in miles morales and increase fps. Also recommend installing it on a ssd. You run out of vram and goes into system ram, since your system ram is too low I recommend at least 16GB so that if you go higher settings you can use your ram as vram when it spills over out of your vram. You can also get these days 32GB DDR4 3200 MHz cl 16 ram kits for 44 dollars.

That 8 gigs of VRAM helps alot, you could probably do some slight 1440p gaming. I was going to get an Acer Predator Orion 3000 Desktop with this setup and a nice 13th gen intel processor for just $679, but i decided nah. You get what you pay for in that case. It just doesn't have the proper cooling imo. So I'll stick with my old PC with the 1660ti in it, my Series X, One X, PS5 and Steam Deck. That's plenty. This is about the best video I've seen though for any graphics card performance, NICE job!!

on shadows of the tomb raider my laptop 3050 max Q *( 40W TDP match's that on fps but on high settings both DLSS on and off not bad for a laptop gpu )* it has 4GB then 32 more from the physical ram to play with lol

I have Lenovo Legion 5 rtx 3050ti 95w i5 11400h 16GB FHD 165hz 100%srgb but I usually plug my laptop to my 49'' 4k TV(LG) and here is the results of a couple games I tested at 4k RDR2: I get 30 fps-35fps but locked it at 30fps at 4k/ultra+high + DLSS Quality RDR2 looks better with DLSS quality than the native 4k. Mad Max: I get 55fps-60fps at 4k/Very high+Max (Doesn't have DLSS option) Days Gone: I get 60 fps at 4k/ultra + DLSS Quality Death Stranding: I get 35-40fps at 4k/ultra + DLSS Quality but locked it at 30fps /ooks better with DLSS quality than the native 4k. Battlefield 5: I get +50fps at 4k/ultra(everything maxed out)(Doesn't have DLSS option) Battlefield 1: I get +55fps at 4k/ultra(everything maxed out)(Doesn't have DLSS option) Batman Arkham Knight: I get +46fps-50fps at 4k/ultra(everything maxed out)(Doesn't have DLSS option) Gotham Knights: I get stable 60fps at 4k/very high + DLSS Quality, when Ray Tracing is enabled in this game, I get 30fps at 4k/very high (30fps drop that's crazy) Hogwart Legacy: I get 35(min)-50fps(depends on the areas) at 4k/ultra(everything maxed out) + DLSS Quality Marvel's Spiderman: I get stable 30fps at 4k/high +DLSS Quality (same results in Miles Morales) Uncharted 4 thief's End: I get 60fps at 2k/very high(couldn't find 4k resolution in the game)+DLSS Quality I have many other games as well but didn't have the chance to test them all but I do that for fun from time to time. All games that I tested , I did not OC or undervolt the GPU, only while gaming I chose the performance option. DLSS makes up for the lack of more vram I sometimes face at 4k and I can always go further with DLSS like Balanced gives more fps and performance and Performance gives more fps than Balanced and Ultra gives more performance than performance but I would rather not choose ultra performance. It's always either Quality or Balanced or Auto, because Auto gives incredible boost to fps.

If you want the best cpu for b450m then see the cpu compatibility for that motherboard and update the bios for the cpu you can get. The best cpu I can get for my asrock b450m steel legend is the ryzen 7 5800X3D.

Any gpu as long as it doesn't hit 90°c you're good anything under 75°c is perfect High 80°c is meh and you should consider but if pass the 90°c that's a real problem and you need to rest it immediately or it will be fried

@@kuro_shinigami7526 Thanks friend, one last thing that is strange, the resident evil 8 happened to me, I finished it and everything was fine, some drop in fps, nothing important, then I am with the resident evil 5 gold edition and it goes to 60 and at specific moments like it drops to 59 and has like microstuttering that doesn't happen to me in the village, do you know why? is it a game thing? I ask because I have updated windows 10 latest version latest drivers I always play with vsync activated is that why it has 1-3 crashes is it normal?

@@nahuelcarreti4719 well the stuttering sometimes could be hard to identify it could be the game itself especially if it only happen to that specific game try to switch from direct x 11 to 12 or vice versa if possible (and if it's cracked try another version) Also it could be your hard drive your PC have a rough time switching from your RAM to your Hard drive either your hard drive is slow, Malfunctioning or a malware inside it that make everything slow It could be the RAM itself try switching them It could be your cpu that's not working properly anymore It could be low voltage from your power supply But as i said if it's that specific then it's the game fault maybe it's not even optimized for your system and if it's not 80% it's your Hard drive

Finally some real benchmark. I know most tech-tubers pair budget gpu with high-end to show full potential of gpu but i prefer it this way cos nobody will actually do that for real.

Thank u so much for ur efforts, i spend 1 weeks to find good gpu for 1080p, i just want only 1080p gaming in good graphics, and ur video is the perfect answer for me.. I hv same cpu i5 10400f and planning to buy 4060, but i hv only 1080p screen and dnt want spend on 4k screen, so 3050 is good for me, even 3060 12gb also option, but prob is PSU, i bought cooler master 550 80plus, 5 months back with i5 10400f, and cant bought new 650wt only for 3060, that's y i skip 3060 12gb, even cant spend too much tym for gaming, even in month i can play once or twice games. So 3050 is good for me.. tumne video m jitne b games add kiya, i dnt think ye sabi me next 3-4 saal m b complete kr pau, due to office work. Thats y 3050 is good for me.. extra paise invest krne k bad bas Gpu ka warranty hi khatam hota.. Even last 5yr i played only 5-6 games only.. Hope people can under my 3050 Decision in 2040.. Its the driver maturity, always when the card first come out it wont perform good but over time with more driver optimization the game will run better.

Desktop version is more faster and more future proof than the mobile variant as that only has a 4gb vram on it and the desktop have 8gb worth of vram.
