Worth noting that the Weapon Debris crashing the game is something that happens to RTX cards, as well as the Turing GTX ones (1650, 1650 Super, 1660, 1660 Super and 1660ti cards). On Pascal and older GTX cards the game works fine with Weapon Debris on.

hey thank for the video, but i know a spot where the framerate really dip much: go to Boston, use tcl no clips to go up to the highest building, from up there you look down the framerate go brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr hope to see you do that in the next video!

That's mostly CPU related. Bethesda's engine can't handle more than a handful of objects and npcs at a time, and that area just so happens to have A LOT of junk and enemies

@@sacrificelife0608 That's because the engine also can't use all of the cores. Multithreading is terrible for this one and it relies heavily on single core performance. Google the basic performance mods for the game and add in mods like "Less Enemies in Boston". Modders have patched this game better than Bethesda smh

in nvidia control panel for fallout4 enable triple buffering, nvidia low latency on/ultra, vsync on, set fps max to 90 or 100. works fine for me. no input lag, no freezes or crashes.

i was just wondering if at 1080p if this is the main/only game you play, you probably don't really need a gpu anywhere close to this (because if you use an fps unlocker the game just breaks)

I play it on a GTX 650 1gb and at medium settings. Frames range between 30 and 45, with stuttering that goes haywire sometimes.

Behesda games made in that era had the same issue of fps = to physics and speed. Unfortunately it appears not to be fixed.

Wouldn't recommend playing on ultra lol, im using a 4080 + 7800X3D aswell. Plenty of mods out there to optimize the game, god rays ultra performance fix, the shadow distance (wont actually see the visual difference, shadow resolution etc

The performance is the same. But there are a few new missions. You still have to manually lock the game to 60 fps.

40 fps on a 4070 super at 4k. i feel good now knowing this isnt a gpu issue but some internal game engine issue cause i couldnt run this game at 4k on my 3070 either, but people on 1070s could run it at 4k cause this 2015 game runs better on older architecture gpus than on RTX ones.

I played this game on PS4, so I never knew, that playing with 200+fps, turns the sole survivor into Flash, this game is so good, that even the FPS, works as its own perk.

Ah yes a "next update" after nearly a decade without ray tracing, frame generation, upscaling and support for higher than 60 FPS. I think they've meant that it jumped from PS3/XBox 360 to PS4/Xbox One level LOL.

@@zWORMzGaming Please use VATS next time. It make shooting enemies at close range much easier. VATS is how Fallout 3, NV, and 4 were even playable. You can't use VATS in 76 since it's online- no bullet time.

Kryzzp Hello Wanted some guidance on something I am using 3060 with 12600k and 1080P Monitor. I want to upgrade to 1440P so which card would you recommend I was planning 4070 Super. What are your thoughts. What should I upgrade first the monitor or the card?? Thanks

Hi! The 4070 Super is the only decent value card from Nvidia, it's worth it, great GPU. It'll pair well with the 12600K at 1440p! I'd upgrade the card first, the 12600K will bottleneck it at 1080p, but you'll still have a better experience than with the 3060 of course. Then upgrading to 1440p will give you a great image quality bump with good framerates still. If you upgraded the monitor first, you'd be stuck playing on low-medium settings and getting lower fps than ideal, so GPU first in my opinion!

Ugh. Wonder what's up to cause your videos (and only your videos) to be so blurry for me? Stats for Nerds confirms that it's 1080p@60 when fullscreen and no frames're dropping. :/ edit: Turning off my browser's hardware acceleration fixes it by changing the codec to vp09, but now I get dropped frames and the video tens to stagger to a complete pause if I'm in another window with the video going. Argh.

Hi! Mixed feelings about this, I'm happy that some people are enjoying these videos, but it seems like Bethesda has a lot of fanboys that for some reason are hating on me 😅 Other than that, all good! Playing Manor Lords right now for a future video. It'll take a while though, as I need to progress into the game quite a bit to be able to benchmark it properly!

Man, the 4070 super really underperformed at 4K. The 4080S got almost 3x the performance. Nvidia needs to stop gimping their gpus bus width.

this is a fault of bethesda and not nvidia. people with 1660 series gpus could run this old game in 4k but newer rtx cards cant.
