In this video we'll benchmark the RTX 4070 Super in Helldivers 2. We'll be testing at 1080p, 1440p and 4K, using multiple presets as well as some upscaling. This game unfortunately does not support DLSS, FSR or XeSS, but rather makes use of its own form of Temporal Super Resolution for upscaling.
Helldivers 2 can definitely make some good use of DLSS, FSR and XeSS, as well as frame generation, for those who prefer a higher framerate, while still offering good visual quality. Unfortunately the built-in upscaler can make things a bit more blurry, so it's not ideal, especially at lower resolutions.

What difficulty is this if you don't mind me asking? I have similar build but slightly less performance but am playing game at suicide difficulty which I've noticed can tank framerate slightly.

This was the 2nd or 3rd difficulty level. The framerate does drop on higher levels for sure. I suck at this game so if I play any higher I cant complete a run without failing 🤦

How are you having those temps on your CPU? Did you undervolt it?

Not at all. I have an LS720 360mm AIO from CoolerMaster and temps have been great. It'll hit 80C in Cinebench R23, but in gaming it rarely hits 55C.

I am running this game in 1440 p with 4070 super and 5800x3d... but i have only 78 fps avg. And 93 % gpu usage.. how is possibile ???

It's a easy difficulty map with barley anything going on , helldiver difficulty is a different story.

Yeah, the higher difficulties are more demanding. I am working on a follow-up video showing that.

@@Mostly_Positive_Reviews Any update on that vid? I'm getting pretty "meh" performance playing on 9 difficulty. My resolution is 2k ultrawide, my graphics settings are only on medium and with native resolution i only average around 80fps with dips below 60 when things get hectic (which is 80% of the time). 6900xt with 12700k. Poor game optimization in my option.

As you should. When the GPU usage is sitting at 100% the CPU matters very little, except in the lows. You only need a fast enough CPU for your GPU to actually be utilized fully, and from there on a faster CPU is not going to make a difference.

Hahaha, I am kinda with you on that one. Had a few games with friends and it was an enjoyable time. Playing alone or with randoms is just a drag. That said, even after 2 evenings of playing with a bunch of friends I havent had the urge to play it again. But that's just how we all differ in what we like.

It's great with a group of friends because it requires teamwork but things can also get very chaotic. Also the massive explosions are stunning (and sometimes blow up the players)
