"Surely there is a limit to hypocrisy, Inspector." Reply: "I haven't found one." Really good writing. Cheers and thanks to Rudolf Forsythe the UL'er. Great public servant, generous.

Agreed, on that line. But such regular use of such simplistic cringe-worthy schoolboy-quality script makes me wonder what the appeal is. "Don't worry, everything'll be fine" within a minute of hearing of the death of your mother ... trash. Yeah, I'll keep watching; it IS British drama, after all, but in small doses only.

Generally, when a novel is dramatized for TV, movies, Netflix or whatever, it is dumbed down so all of us pedestrians can understand what’s going on.

I think it is somewhat funny that some folks disliked this video, publicly. As far as I know, in free societies you have a choice. So, if you don’t like something (especially on a venue called YOUTube, as in what YOU want to see and what YOU want to post), you simply TURN IT OFF.😉!!!

I love this show!!! The end is challenging due to the amount of time dedicated to some type of conclusion. But parts one and two are the BEST, in my opinion! P. S. My pet peeve: I don’t think the Inspector would have noticed the calloused finger.🤔😉🤔😉🤔😉

OF them all this one made me jumpy and locked my door on that Ashe creaturer.... and no clue who done it for us to thread it together. Great Post..

As far as I can see, there has been no activity by this uploader since episode 2. Has anyone even CONSIDERED maybe something happened to him? You're all ripping you hair out whining for missing 1 lousy episode. How about a thank you for the 40 we got. Makes me ashamed to be a member of YT.

Urgh. And now even Dalgliesh's offsider says "it didn't seem relevant, sir". All these series are based purely on people withholding information. There is absolutely no other artistic method employed. I'd be embarrassed if I had such a one-track limited toolkit as a writer. I don't see the merit in these works. It IS British tv drama, though, and so I'll no doubt cringe my way through.

Please don't dis the uploader, who went to a lot of trouble to share a lot of hard-to-find eps with us. He didn't purposely share an incomplete series; YT forced the takedown of an ep, and the uploader can't control that. Just search YT for the 3rd ep -- someone else has shared it.

Read the novel. There IS that uncertainty but the end is as inevitable as the easy spell cast on a desperately lonely girl by a determined psychopath set loose by a mother with more intellect than empathy. Dalgliesh always attempts to rescue such women altho he cannot prevent their continued self harm and subsequent victimization by a surplus of predatory men. All fall down. That’s Dame P D James!

can anyone tell me how a knife is right or left-handed? I understand scissors. But in relation to scissors, right and left-handed scissors are rather obvious because of the way the holes for the thumb and fingers are constructed. Maybe back then a left-handed scissors was rare enough that the film-makers didn't know what was going on. But I doubt that. I don't remember what is in the book, but if PD James put a left-handed knife in her book, then she wasn't as good as people thought.
@sjw57975 жыл бұрын
A left-handed person would slash their own throat from right to left. The victim was left-handed, and her throat was slashed from left to right to left, which means she was killed from behind by a right-handed person.

@JJ212106 жыл бұрын
Nina Graci -- Please don't assume that the uploader was being unkind; I know, from experience as an uploader over the past 5 years, that YT can be capricious -- it can force the takedown of one ep from a series but not the whole series. (It can happen when the CR holder of background music that appears in only one ep demands it.) This uploader has gone to a lot of trouble to upload a lot of hard-to-find eps that we''re enjoying; I sincerely doubt that he'd purposely post an incomplete series.
