I was at the ‘09 Heineken Cup semi between Leinster and Munster. That intercept was nothing short of exceptional by BOD. The sheer pace and read of it, but also the significance of the try in the game and the swing in Irish Rugby from Munster being the dominant force to Leinster.

I was surprised that a couple of intercept tries weren't included in this montage, which were scored by Springbok players in the 2007 RWC semi final against Argentina. The players were Fourie De Preez and Bryan Habana

TJ Perenara intercept try in super rugby. Ball gets flung from the back of a maul for a clearance kick. TJ comes flying, and I mean flying, in and catches the ball like he’s superman and dives for the try. This is by far the coolest intercept.

Because the ball didn’t hit the floor or touch another player: providing a player is able to regain the ball before either of those happen then it’s not a knock on 👍🏻

Bod against Agen. Caucau refuses to chase him, then when he gets 10 yards ahead and a bit into the Agen half, he says, ah fuck it and nearly catches him on the line. Imagine what Caucau could have been if he took rugby seriously. He is up there as best winger ever and he didn't give 2 fucks about being professional

Partly because if you fail, it creates a defensive gap. And partly because of the bad rule that if you fail too blatantly, it's a yellow card and penalty.

The J-man+ Then it's all a matter of perception. Maybe the guy who made this video doesn't consider Jean De Villiers great in terms of interception. That's why I said make your own greatest interception videos. Because not everyone has the same taste or preferences. I also agree Jean De Villiers among others like Mikaele Pesamino or Habana should be here. But I'm not complaining.
