Definitely looking into getting a 5.56 American Gen2. Looks like Ruger did an excellent job with the new rifles. I’m wondering if a Ruger American PISTOL Gen2 is coming in the near future, possible optics-ready…? I’d be first in line for that, if true.

The difference between guns and rifles is that guns are made up of a tubed body and fire on the target with the help of pneumatic force, while rifles are made up of helical loops inside, which are responsible for the stable release of the bullet into the target.

Ruger or Savage? Who is the best for your money now?

Savage 10 was before these Rugers came out. I have a 10 and a Gen 1 Ruger. You can’t go wrong with either one. Ruger basically copied the Savage triggers. Both have good barrels / bolts and actions. Ruger probably wins for magazines but my 10 hasn’t had one feeding issue. Both have cheap stocks but for what you are getting with the rest of the gun for the price it’s fair.
