A slightly edited down version of our crew training video for Token Working, demonstrating and explaining how the new token working system operates.
The token working system has been recently introduced to allow us to operate two trains with less crew and less complexity than required under radio control, which should hopefully lead to a two train service operating on a much more frequent basis.
A huge amount has taken place behind the scenes to make token working a reality - agreeing the method of work, rule book changes and updates, sign and token design and installation, entire days spent thoroughly testing the system, training videos produced and the entire operating crew to train and familiarise, not to mention the completion of the double tracking project, which without, token working would not have been quite as feasible.
