Tbh she didn’t even need to post that even back when I first watched it was very obvious something was very wrong/faked like how can a dance teacher even accidentally place a dancer in the wrong division very producer driven scenario

i 100% i don’t care what the rest of the cast says, Jess wasn’t playing a ‘character’, she was a flat out BULLY just like Jill and the rest of the moms and by no means is Ashley innocent bc she did call Jojo the worst dancer on the team and that’s not okay

I mean it does sorta of make sense. Ava is really tall, her height makes her stand out. Whether its because she's a great dancer or not. No matter where you put Ava her height is going to be noticeable, putting her in the center at least helps make it not so obvious in a way it doesn't distract them from the dance

jeanette also doesn’t want it to seem like she’s favoring her daughter, saying she’s good/better so she’s in front may come offr as biased.

I attended one of the Sheer Talent competitions in season 6 and literally the whole premise of the competition was that you get to be on Dance Moms. You had to get approval from Lifetime in advance to attend by sending in clips of your dances, sign papers that allowed you to be on screen when you entered the building, and they were selling ALDC merch in the lobby. It was definitely the least serious dance competition I have ever been to. I think our changing room was literally a hallway too. I remember getting yelled at to move when warming up backstage because they were going to be filming there soon.

@@gvcefnkthat’s why Cathy didn’t have any of her own competition kids on except for maybe 1 dance. I didn’t dance at candy apples I went to a better studio, but most of my friends did & Sarah & Jess were the only ones from Cathy’s actual team that even went on the show 😂

Cathy was a total crack pot but she at least didn’t put her own actual dancers into those fake competitions hahahahahha

Cathy only did that for the show, when she was first the rival team she used her usual competition team but they were older than the ALDC girls on the show. Vivi and Justice were added in to lower the age. That is why in later seasons when it wasn't her actual team anymore Vivi also wasn't in the team.

wasn't the reason for adding vivi also for bringing the age down, so they were in the same age group as the aldc girls?

Studio heads/owner’s kids tend to be incredible and the best dancers at the studio or the worst on the team because of how awkward it is.

@@amandamandamands Human prop Vivi was a sandbag for CADC to lower the age category for the team but she also never wanted to dance anyway. Cathy was living vicariously through her. My opinion still stands though. It’s definitely a conflict of interest on a competition team. The bias will always lead to preferential treatment. All moms think their kid is the best. I’d be miffed if I was a dancer and was talented but always got overlooked for featured roles in dances for the studio owner’s kid who wasn’t talented or committed. But yes Cathy did end up using Vivi as a sandbagger to lower the age category for the team to compete in the category as the ALDC.

@@KZfaqTV-qw5mu yeah i cant agree w all of the holly love, and i really wish i could. her principles are airtight in theory, but she had immense trouble sticking to them. she constantly preached about not involving the children but never voiced any issue w her friends bullying all of the new kids; often laughing along and joining in on occasion. she was extremely outspoken about all of the racial abuse nia suffered at the hands of abby but continued to keep nia in that environment (and dont give me all that bs of "oh but the contracts!" or "oh but nia wanted to stay!"; contracts can be broken and holly shouldve put her foot down and removed nia from that situation REGARDLESS of how nia felt about it at the time - holly staying was purely ego-driven, end of). she also completely ignored all of the racial abuse camryn, camille, nicaya and kaya suffered from and would side w the racists, as well as making a lot of anti-black comments herself (i.e; implying afros are ugly or ghetto). then there's the fact that she would boast about being the only one to stand up to abby, but would frequently redirect her anger at abby toward new team members - obviously out of fear of repercussion. a big example would be her directing nia to add in jojo's "critiques" (hazing) that she "takes opportunities away" from members who'd been there longer - that's an abby problem, not a jojo one, and i refuse to believe that someone as intelligent as holly wouldnt recognise this. overall, holly had all the makings of a great and stable cast member, but her biases and personal complexes held her back from achieving that. much of her time on the show is filled w hypocrisy, self-righteousness and outright toxicity *on her end* (i.e - how she aided in the bullying of camryn so heavily). she was just another stage mum; only difference being that she had enough patience and decorum to know to keep herself composed and paint a better image of herself on tv than the other women

Fr, both Bryn and Maddie were getting hate by the moms for something that wasn't their fault. The moms were bitter asf at times, but Bryn did have wayy too much hate for no reason. Scripted or not

I'm glad everyone else was a PERFECT child that never misspoke or said anything wrong . The same people will hate on Kendall and promote Abby in the same sentence.

@@lea_805 I mean, she was technically ‘rude’ to me when I met her too, but she was literally 9 years old. I haven’t met many 9 year olds that aren’t sometimes lol
