As I play and ask and read and ask and ask, here are a few things I had to correct.

Nice video for newbies. I definitely made some of these mistakes when I started. Just one quick note though - The text that displays during your first section on dodge (around 7:11) says "You can only use dodge when down" this is incorrect. You can use dodge as a response to monster hits regardless of your knocked down status. What that text should say is "Dodge is the only survival action you can take when down" or something to that effect. Enjoy your KDMing. :)

As a house rule, I never re-shuffle the Settlement deck. Not for difficulty reasons, just variety.

Oh man, I'm in the 100's of hours in KDM and still make mistakes! I'd note a few things. Affinities that are puzzle pieces require that particular match to occur with that specific gear card. Otherwise you can just have the necessary matches anywhere in your gear gird. With the founding stones special ability, you don't do any rolls. You automatically hit, flip a HL card and perform the critical wound portion. If the HL card doesn't have a critical wound effect, then you don't wound (but still archive the stone). For dodge, it's easiest to remember that you can only dodge attacks that have an attack profile (the speed, accuracy, damage box). Otherwise you can't use dodge.

Very cool! It's great when you can get that much time into a game. I love it so I am hoping I can keep it going. 25 Battle/ Settlement phases in now with 2 restarts. I am 99% sure on the founding stone you still have to roll but that still seems to be a place of doubt online lol. Ya great way to remember dodge !!! Do you have a lot of expansion monsters?

@@BadatBoardgames Late to the party but I believe RunWilburRun is correct. Here is the card text: Spend Activation to sling the stone from anywhere on the board! Archive this card for 1 automatic hit that inflicts a critical wound. Archive: Return the card to the game box --- And for more clarity here is the text for automatic hits: Automatic hits happen in the place of attack rolls. When a survivor attacks, they make attack rolls equal to their weapon's speed (plus modifiers). Each automatic hit foregoes one of these rolls and adds 1 to the total number of hits when hits are determined. The remaining attack rolls are performed normally, and all hits (rolled or automatic) are drawn and resolved together. Automatic hits are not Perfect Hits. Example: Zachary is a Red Savior with 2 red affinities, granting him 2 automatic hits from each attack. When he attacks with a Hunter Whip (which has 3 Speed), he makes 1 attack roll as 2 automatically hit. He then draws 2 or 3 hit locations (depending on whether or not his attack roll hit) and proceeds with his wound attempt normally. --- Anyway. Im teaching the game to a friend right now and we just went through all of this. Hope this is useful to anyone

Just realized when I am talking about founding stone I mean when it is thrown not used as melee.

The other thing about founding stone that is weird is that if you throw it and there is no critical hit location on the HL card, it doesn’t wound either.
