I remember the first time I saw her in Elizabeth back in 1999 (she was robbed of an Oscar for that role btw) and being so captivated by her performance. She's incredibly talented and versatile too. Her early roles cemented her as a serious dramatic actress but over the years she has shown her lighter, comedic side too.

I knew Andrew Upton when he was 18 we were both on a playwriting committee together. He definitely has an 'it' factor and is also intelligent, and stood up for himself. I liked him. Cate could see those qualities too.

Sometimes being with someone so good/rich/beautiful/famous can make one feel little. Men especially don’t really like being overshadowed or dominated, and thus turn to other younger meeker things that easily make them feel like a king. Not that they wish for a divorce though. Most still value the queen of their house very deeply, but they just can’t shake this feeling off.

i think being self employed is probably easier when you make millions for every job and you can employ nannies and a house regardless. It's not like they will suddenly be out of a job and money. But she's not only beautiful but so full of personality I think he must be a great guy no matter what he looks like to keep her around. And she does seem like a hands on parent.

I am a Taurus -we are opinionated and outspoken , but also reserved and picky about who we like and will come off as aloof .The chaos part , I don’t think it applies to most, seems likes to be busy. Think about it. Cate and Andrew meet. They don't especially like another, they have nothing in common; and then they grow to hate one another. She is 'aloof' ( which is code for lesbian), he is 'arrogant' (which means 'gay'). Look at them together. There is ABSOLUTELY NO SEXUAL CHEMISTRY WHATSOEVER. She is using him to keep her gay secret. He is using her for creative success and financial security. Think about this: Why would you prepare a meal for a lover, if you knew you couldn't cook?
