People might disagree, but for me THIS was the BEST Basketball arcade game ever (yes, looking at you NBA Jam). Fantastic game. I knew this SNES game existed, but I didn't really connect it to Run N Gun in the Arcade. Thanks for this video!

I played this in the Arcade every day. With my cousin.. We would battle for Hours.. This is still the best Basketball arcade game ever.. Wish they bring it out on a system

Yeah I played this game a lot on Snes. Don't know have arcade origin. Definitely will try the arcade version.

Wow that Snes port was cool. 1. That music was jamming especially the second half music. 2. That announcer sounded better than the Arcade. "Up in the air! POWER DUNK!" 3. The player models look good and detail. It was slower but got the job done. 4. The NBA license helped. 90's NBA was an legendary era especially the Chicago Bulls. During gameplay you have Steve Kerr on your line up. He's currently a 9x NBA champion. 5 as a player and 4 as a couch.

This game turns out to be a great example... Obviously the Snes did not have the fluidity of the Arcade, but the gameplay of the title in general is respected with some small adjustments. 😇

Estou jogando o Give'n Go, metade final da temporada regular com os Supesonics :P Pude jogar ele no SNES, eu estranhei muito na época pois tinha o NBA Live 97. Hoje em dia não estranho mais. A versão do SNES dá umas roubas a lá NBA Jam também.

I loved both Run And Gun arcade games and the SNES port. I took the home game as it was. Wasn't expecting it to be as good as the arcade and just enjoyed it

I wish Konami would have made an arcade perfect port of Run and Gun for the PlayStation. Instead they went the 3d model route and gave us the NBA In The Zone series. Boo!!!

Well, it has a smoother and faster frame rate than Dick Vitale. And it has better drawn graphics than NCAA Basketball. If you absolutely must play one sprite based 3d basketball game, go for Slam and Jam on 3DO. But if you absolutely need to keep things 16-bit, this is probably your least painful option.

Never know an arcade version was avaliable, the SNES version lack the referee and the cheering parties, less detailed crowd animations due to lower processing power

When it comes to the crowd animations, it has less to do with processing power and more to do with cartridge space limitation. It wasn't much of a problem for an arcade game program from that era to be a size of 8 to 20 megabytes (notice I said megabYte, and not megabit), when they were ported for the home consoles, they were generally limited to a cartridge of 2 megabytes (16 megabits.) Non-gameplay bells and whistles like the background animation you're referencing are usually the first things to get cut. Updating background tiles for the purposes of animation has very, very little overhead when it comes to CPU.

Sobre o Jogo , não gosto de basquete e nem desses games , mas olhando assim , eu diria que era um jogo do 32x ou do Sega CD , por esses efeitos , sprites grandes , e varios sprites e vendo que é pro Snes ta mas que bom , ta um Port bem bom

Tirando Turtles in time que a versão de Snes é melhor q a de Arcade,não outro jogo especialmente da Konami que isso ocorre.

Jogabilidade do Snes é melhor,o Hitbox é bem mais preciso. Adição de fases e encaixe melhor dos vilões de cada fase me faz preferir a versão do Snes você pode preferir a versão do Arcade ai na sua casa.

@DrTech XX O port do Super Nintendo é BEM mais polido que o de arcade, que apesar de ser tecnicamente mais bonito, tem MENOS conteúdo, jogabilídade e por consequência, diversão !!! Os Tartarugas com cores das HQs, Tokka & Rahzar no Tecnodromme na 4º fase que possuí a máquina da warp time, (o que explica como eles voltaram no tempo) Slash no lugar daquele LIXO de Cement Man, Bebop & Rockstead travestidos de pirata, a fase do Neon Night Riders em Mod 7 e o SUPER Destruidor são adições que HUMILHARAM a versão arcade !!!!

Apesar dos cortes aqui e ali, ficou um port muito bom para o SNES. Só acho que deveriam ter feito uma intro na versão de snes, mesmo que fosse com imagens estáticas.

Cheguei a uma conclusão definitiva sobre esse port p/o console de 16 bit da Nintendo, está aí um jogo que o Mega Drive não consegue fazer nem a pau. Então o SNES é melhor que o Mega Drive.

Nesse dai eu acho que o Chão ta em MOD7 ou deve estar usando varias camadas, 1 pros players , 2 pro chão , 3 pra arquibancada e 4 pra Cexta

@KnabiOI Pessoal fala que o NEO GEO é melhor que o Ps1 e a uNICA COISA QUE O neo geo placa de arcade tem de melhor que o ps1 é a Memoria RAM Ou seus super cartuchos com seus Chips caros e seus processadores emputidos e suas super eprons de rapida velocidade Resumindo + RAM DE 7MB Á +8MB De resto leva uma surra em tudo. Claro o correto era o PS1 ter 16MB de RAM Já que são 32BITS ter o Dobro de RAM , para os jOGOS TRABALHAREM no maximo ou no minimo 7MB para Igular Ou 4MB mas o ps1 só tem 1MB Alias um Cartucho de NEO GEO era mais caro que um Ps1 NEO GEO nem se quer é capaz de rodar seus Proprios Jogos Se Botar um leitor de ISO o NEO GEO nao roda , precisa da tecnologia dos cartuchos para Rodar . Se o Ps1 tive se 4MB botaria o NEO GEO pra mamar 7MB ja ultrapassava de longe 16MB o pae Viriamos os 32Bits ter um poder de PS2 pra jogos 2D e texturas lindas e sem loadns

There's a game on Genesis that uses the same perspective and has scaling too. It was a college basketball game but it didn't look as nice as Give n Go. Then again Konami vs. random 90s American 3rd party ain't fair. That's a slaughter 9/10 times.

É bem na cara que arcade é melhor, mas a versao do snes é bem manerinha, nao tem diferença absurda de graficos nem de som, a konami sabia msm trabalha com o snes, rarente fazia jogo ruim ou port ruim
