Always great to see you Chris. Thanks for helping the other runners achieve that 2 hour goal. The world is a crazy place at the moment, but this video just makes you feel that there are plenty of good things out there that need celebrating. Nice one Chris, good to see the Reigate Half going so well! I live in Devon but remember running it in 2014 so your film brought back some good memories! Cheers and keep up the good work.

Thanks Steve. Course has changed a bit since that first race in 2014 but I think I'm right in saying they still had THAT hill at the end. It wouldn't be Run Reigate without it 😃

Great stuff Chris. No possible way I would have the courage to put myself in that position... too anxious etc for me! Your fellow 2hr pacer looked spent when you passed him... OK I hope! Again the last hill looks a bas*'"rd. We have a similar (tho steeper.... yes, really..) final mile(ish) Hill in a local half - *when you know you know* and one can't help but think of it thru the rest of the event! I have lost my confidence recently and haven't run a race for over 2 months! I have a marathon booked for early October - it's off-road but on hard /concrete /metalled tracks used by the military around Salisbury Plain. Psychological race pick... I'll treat it like an ultra so I won't be disappointed how fast/slow I do it... finishing is key. I *accidentally* bought the new insta 360 go 3 🤔 bid on ebay and it was mine... I had the go 2 and that was good. The go 3 is fantastic....the *camera* part is still about 2 ounces... it fits into the charger/remote control *box* which now has a screen (forward or backward) Brilliant stabilisation settings for vlogging up to extreme bumpy off road cycling + top quality automatic horizon levelling. Looks smart as well! I'm sounding like a PR man.. 😮 I shall (hopefully) use it on the marathon and make a short youtube vid. Anyway, happy running!

Thank you 👍 There is definitely a bit of added pressure being an official pacer and when I've done it before it was on flat courses, which Reigate isn't but thankfully I've run Reigate so many times before it gave me confidence to pace it. Hope you can gain some confidence back at your next race. Sounds like you are approaching it correctly and doing a bit of filming with the Go 3 will make for an interesting vlog. I like to use my Go 2 for shots that other cameras can't do or when I want a bit of filming on the run without taking a selfie stick and bigger camera. They are very handy cameras and decent quality.

Great work, Chris! I'm happy to see runners give back by pacing, volunteering, mentoring. How did it feel with the pack and flag on your back? Here in the US pacing is a bit different as you just have a stick with the pace time on the end and you carry the stick during the race.

Thanks Andy 👍😃 The flag on the back is really light, you don't even realise that you are wearing it. Also very visible for runners to easily spot. I think it works really well. Most races in the UK use flags for the pacers.

Great job Chris! You two did so well, I can't believe you guys had the time to stop and cheer runners in just before the finish line. It was a great event as usual and I'm glad I had the chance to pace for the first time in a race myself... I would recommend this experience with Xempo to any runner with a bit of experience.
