When I first heard the song I didn't really like the slow build-up it but after focusing on the lyrics and the mood of the song I've really come to love it. One of their best.

Shit man that Yankee and the Brave outro, as simple as it is just ties the whole journey all together perfectly. This album and their entire career has been an absolute ride so far. Like some other guy said in this comments section it is a goddamn act of terrorism that this album did not get a Grammy

This is the most recent album that I can continuously listen to all the way through. No songs skipped. But few words for the firing squad is my favorite. This version, live, no audience, peak covid, is just so great.

Grammys are worthless though, all awards shows are in the end is rich people giving trophies to other rich people, and trophies aren't needed to know what music is truly worth listening to. Besides that, with kind of topics RTJ sing about, you really think they're ever gonna get a Grammy? You really think they're gonna get one if they don't start making over-produced radio drivel? Nah, I'd rather RTJ stay who they are and have them spread by word-of-mouth than to become something mass-produced and watered down to suit whatever safe opinions the music industry wants them to have.

mikes last verse had me in tears my mom is a business owner has been my while life woman in a extremely chauvinistic male field and dies not take shit and smokes weed likes mikes mom did R.I.P I am a mommas boy he seems to be I listen to that last verse and cry my moms health is declining I just learned she is getting dementia and has other health problems due to bad genetics she's really healthy so this song reminds me that even when she is being mean of accusing me of something I didn't do she may just be remembering it wrong it is hard because she is a strong independent woman and I don't ant to have to tell her she is wrong and it is hardest for her because she does it all and is losing capacity but that's life.
