The berserker shields were like the defenders of F2P, they gave str bonus and good defence bonus. The Fist of Guthix minigame was so fun back in the day, it's a shame we're never gonna get it back.

I've been playing OSRS since day 1, I even voted for it to return. I had forgotten some of these polls. Hard to believe it's been 10 years. Fun fact, at the start of OSRS '07scape' the most popular way of making gold at the start was stealing silk at Ardy. I remember everybody rushing to Ardougne for that gp. The launch day of OSRS was one of my favorite memories of RuneScape as a whole.

Neat little history thing, remember back when the rooftop agility NPC would shout random things like "idea by user bigredjapan" every. Single. Time. Someone would jump down the rooftop, flooding the screen with annoying text. I messaged the guy in-game like 9 years ago when he had PM on and said cool he won a contest but the NPC was annoying, then shortly after that the npc stopped speaking dialogue above his head. Kinda feel bad for telling a guy to tell his in-game npc to shut up lol but I think he must of directed the idea to a Jmod because of the quick change, so maybe he didn't like it either.

Great video mate, so crazy seeing this old and forgotten content years later. Nostalgia trip fsure. I remember when I just returned to osrs in 2016, and I got wrecked in the old slayer dungeon by the specters. That old dungeon was nuts. monsters everywhere no rhyme or reason lmao good times/

I think tob would be in a much better place with its rewards if some of these passed or at least had tuning. The judgement prayer would have been interesting if they toned it down and removed the weird effect, I know it took 4+ attempts to pass a ranged glove bis but Nex is so stacked already there would be nothing wrong if it came from tob. I think the potions are fine as well although probably best not coming from a raid

Lol the wild dogs thing is so true. I remember trying to do demons years ago and they would constantly aggro. The worst part was they didn’t drop anything so they would just slow down your task for no reason.

That shield was only useful in combination with charged rune gauntlets which also came from fog. It allowed the rune scim max hit to go from 28 to 29 I think? It was a long time ago but I remember you needed both the shield and the gauntlets for it to matter. That also includes the strength amulet, strength potion, and having 99 strength. It became obsolete when the gravite equipment was released with dungeoneering.

Surprising that so many of these things actually made it into the game, just with some new changes.

I wonder if will add a new max level boss, it seems like there's alot of group wildy bosses but it would be interesting if jagex added some new 1000+ level bosses just to make that aspect of the game more interesting.

I consider myself neurotypical but Ive started to find RuneScape very very calming in a way no other game is. I only started in 2022 since not playing in 17 years and I think it allows me a good game/life balance that no other game does

I remember being really sad when sailing failed back in 2015, but now I think it failing then to pass now is actually going to be so much better for the game. Im sure back then the sailing we would have gotten just been a clunky islandeering skill, but with the resources that jagex has & the mastery some of the mods have learned with working with the game engine it looks like the skill will be truly expansive for the game

3:00 is not quite right, on release the fight kiln only rewarded you with a BIS melee cape is was similar in stats to the inferno cape today, the ranged and magic variants weren't released for ages.

The most interesting part of lost content is that the percentage they fail by shows that there is often enough interest to add the content but it's proposed form is seemingly the issue which is pretty cool.

Max cape having the stats of a fire cape now wouldn't be irrelevant, because a fire max cape is functionally just a fire cape. Having the functionality of a max cape with fire cape stats would be pretty busted for people who don't have an infernal cape

Updates being Ironman friendly explain drop tables recent as release Phantom Muspah lots of food (too much then patched). It does throw mainscape skilling economy a long downtrend - blood runes, tuna - and is another story entirely. But I get how Jagex is going at update drop tables

Well you missed point aswell, jagex investors share holders are dectating the game, polls lost our respect atleast for experienced veterans for example when jagex polled yo introduce pets into game failed 2 times but then they forced into game same thing as unwanted events such pride evenr, this shows how rs its getting manipulated by its outside company puppets to ruin game experience for money and change mindset for minor kids about irl shameful subjects.

I am still unbelievably pissed that the Trading Post was removed. It was literally perfect for people that actually want to play the game as an MMO. You didn't need to screw around with Zybez where people were always offline/private off/already sold and not marked on the site... BUT, you could actually interact with other players. imo, the Grand Exchange was literally the worst update to come to OSRS. You can argue that the playerbase would be smaller and I would agree. I would not find that to be an issue. There would only be people that actually CARE about the social aspect/joruney of Runescape, instead of these zoomers who want the max cape asap and then instantly burn out after or burn out on their way to it - all the while voting crappy updates into the game. /rant
