I've missed out a couple of diary entries, partly because I didn't have time to shoot but also partly because I was feeling so tired on Tuesday after a busy bank holiday weekend that I just didn't have energy. In fact, I was feeling so tired on Tuesday that I had no will power to resist the home baking which my mum sent home with us after our visit on Monday!
It's a bit of a self-reinforcing loop, I feel tired and a bit low, have some rubbish calories, feel guilty, which makes me feel a bit lower so I reach for more calories. All I needed was a good night's rest to break that cycle, which is what I got on Tuesday night, yesterday (Wednesday) I felt so much better.
Yesterday was a yoga and kickboxing evening, and I had hoped that I might get a run in the morning, however I decided against it. I think I have ramped up the mileage too fast for me, and that's why I am getting the knee pain, which is probably IT Band Syndrome; the only thing to do is drop back the volume a bit. But that's ok, I just need to remind myself that I'm not in a rush, that remaining injury free is a big priority than quickly ramping up the distance. I'm in this for the long haul.
I'm down in London again, but determined to not fall into last week's junk calorie trap, despite the 06:25 flight (4:30 alarm). I will succeed!
