I discuss why you the quadriceps are ESSENTIAL in running as well as some exercises to strengthen them, so you can hopefully improve your own running!

Great idea! I was actually thinking about it! I'm thinking about maybe talking about warm ups, because thats where they are usually used!

Again amazing video, thanks. I am interested in learning where the "energy saver" are in the whole running cycle. Just as no musician can ever play fast without actively training the relaxation moments in the hand movement. Most running vids are about strength, force, speed etc. no one talks about where to FEEL the RELAXATION and COORDINATION!

The muscles store and release energy in running. To make it simple, you store energy as the foot transitions from landing and you release it toward push off

Those are both good exercises used in a training regime for sprinting!

@@giacomospreafico5323 Only if you put more weight than you can handle. But deadlifts are used by so many high level athletes and even recreational athletes.

In my right quad, the rectus femoris sticks out a lot and stays tight which in turn works on my knee. I feel like this tightness could be causing a bump (one PT said could be patellar ligament bone spur) to form under the knee. I stretch, roll, etc. but nothing is working. Do you think it's more of a tight psoas working on it or something else? I know my glutes aren't engaging enough which may be part of the cause. Thoughts?

The knee ist straigtened by the biceps and the glutes during push off. You are telling the people how to run wrong.

He is not wrong. The quadricep muscles extend the knee.
