@@KidBowsur worst case scenatio, you get money for the monster and the extra parts can sell and in case of the metal raths, it's a good (although luck dependant) source of rath gleams

all they need to do is have a 5% chance at the end of any High Rank hunt (or at least the harder ones like Magnamalo, Goss Harag, Tigrex, the Elders, etc) to get a random talisman, it could range from a Stun Resistance 1 Talisman with no slots, to a Attack Boost 3, Crit Boost 2 Talisman with two 2 slots, that would mean that you'd occasionally get a talisman for your efforts, and at the same time it wouldn't make the melder obsolete

I'd name my Astalos "Zapdos" I usually name my Zapdos "Astalos" so it's a bit ironic lol

honestly if they allow us to add a third pigment to our armour (like the horrible bone on Diablos armour) I'd forgive the explusion of Rainbow Pigment, but I am geniunely curious to see what a Rainbow Pigment Rampage Weapon would look like!

but it has a lot of potential, imagine fighting Apex Diablos (aka Baby Bloodbath Diablos) in the Infernal Springs! they are gonna take full advantage of that map/arena, and they have every reason to make them hard as they give you a Rainbow Spiribird in that map

Rathian has been my baseline hunt for trying out new weapons going all the way back to 3U

I always go bonk Apex Rathians with any new builds I come up with. She is basically Rathian but challenging and fun

It would be nice to have an ahtal-ka equivalent hunt that showers you with talismans. This game doesn't NEED it per se, but it would be really nice.

Same! I really like Narwa too but the final form was a bit too much. I also felt unpleasant hitting her in that form knowing she's got fertilized eggs in her biggest weak point.. :c

@@yiangaruga4928 I just hope we get a standalone Event Quest for Ibushi and Allmother Narwa (by that I mean fighting each one separately in their own quest) Ibushi because he desperately needs a standalone quest and Allmother Narwa because 5 minutes of her quest (at maximum) is spent fighting her husband/king, and even though watching her suck the life out of him is quite cool, it does give you a lot of time to attack her (in my case shredding her tail with a Machine Cannon to get extra carves lol) They could also could pump up their HP and attack, explaining it lorewise as "This Ibushi is in prime condition and hasn't spent 10 minutes getting brutalised by heavy artillery" and "This Allmother Narwa has perfectly assimilated her king's power into herself and is now at full power" They could realistically do that, call the quests "Breath of Ire" and "Lady of Lightning" after their intro titles and you're good to go!

This is exactly it. I have fun with monster hunter for 2 reasons: the dance of death , and purpose per monster. If the monster gives me a specific purpose for fighting it I get way more engaged with the reward loop . This is why I think the guiding lands was a genius endgame because it gave EVERYTHING in the entire game purpose, and therefore you would fight tons of monsters there throughout the endgame and you could really experience the depth and breadth of the roster, it also pushed you to get better because better upgrades required materials from harder monsters. And community communication was important as well due to you needing diffrent guiding lands with diffrent materials that you needed which felt refreshing and gave a sense of comradeship to the people you fought with in the guiding lands though this feature is hit or miss depending on what type of gamer you are I guess. Monsters that gave you "the dance of death" feeling in gu and iceborne also gave a feeling to strive for. And when you finaly achieved it ,while equally dancing with this apocalypse before you ,you feel something, at least I do, something like :"YES THIS IS WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO BE ALIVE, WE ARE THE APEXS OF THIS LAND WE WILL FIGHT AND DIE TOGETHER HAHAHAHAHAHAHA". It makes me feel like some cheesed up anime villain that wants to fight people cause he only feels alive from being strong or something. It feels so goddamn good. I think other people feel a similar way about endgame and that's where disatisfaction comes from. I think rise is great though, and it's just barely teetering on the edge of doing this things, but it's not quite there yet.

I’ve done plenty of insect glaive valstrax and just from personal experience I have not seen a valstrax target you out of air with his wing jabs

I think I saw it once. Monsters now can do vertical directions for some of their attacks, which is a nice touch.

speaking of Up, did you know that Acidic Glavenus from MHW actually shares some moves with this guy? Specifically the tail slam where he pulls his tail up after the slam and swings his tail around anime style, that is straight up a Valstrax move!

Dango defender is like divine blessing, but defender and blessing do not stack. Needed all the damage reduction on a second character, and tried to use the two together for better survivability, and the thing wouldn't activate that often anyways. You'd think you'd get that damage reduction 100% of the time, too, from having high defender and lv3 divine blessing.

Exactly.... that's one of the reasons i didn't play it.
