I 110% fit your profile! I don't understand how I was diagnosed with NVLD because I have great social skills and I pick up on social cues and I am not un-coordinated!

This helps me to know my son is not alone. He is 12 years old and was just diagnosed with NLD he has never had a friend. Do you know of any centers in the Seattle area, we will be moving there in three months. Thanks

at least there is hope for someone like me who has nld. is there centers similar to this in or near calgary, alberta canada that deals with both adults and kids? right now i feel lonely because most of what i found in my area deals with kids who have nld, not adults like me.

I was told that I fall into the NVLD category, though I am confused by this diagnosis. I have a large verbal/performance split, but I DON'T have some of the other major issues that NVLD people often do: i.e., I don't have social problems, I am coordinated/athletic. If anyone else fits this profile, I would love to talk!

my son was diagnosed with nld but i was told he is "deffinately on the autism spectrum under pdd-nos." do you know what that means? i thought that the pervasive developmental disorder - not otherwise specified was a diagnosis in itself? tnx

Yes, someday I think they might find another category for people like us. Or, perhaps, we just lie somewhere on the spectrum. Anyways, it's not a fun disability to have, quite debilitating once you graduate school and life responsibilities shoot up.
