I was starting to become emotional around the 1:09 mark, so I stopped it immediately. I felt like I would be bawling and getting emotional over all the shit that's been going on since 2016, and as the fella says: "Ain't NOBODY got time for that [bulls***]." If I have to take the lows to experience the highs, then you can keep them both.

Rush has given me decades of tears and happiness. Been there before I got married, after I got divorced. Been there while raising six kids. Been there for all of it! They are ALL here with me forever. They are like friends I never met but they knew me so deeply and vs. vs. They gave us a sort of a religious/religion for all humanity. All are welcome, none push aside. None judged, all are saved and loved. What other band has given that to the world in such a graceful fashion and humility. Thank you Rush for all you have given to me. Perhaps, RUSH is who brought up the next 'greatest' generation. A generation of heart and soul and love.

Just stumbled on this, I started tearing up before the people left the bus! What a powerful video! At 62 Rush has been a part of my life since college, starting with the moving pictures album. What was neat is as they grew older, there music changed, it was still wonderful, but it matched me as I grew older. It's was like I aged with Rush, with The Garden being one of their best songs. What a great band, what a great contribution to music. It's amazing from reading all the comments how Rush impacted all of you like they did me. Thanks to everyone for sharing

Little did anyone know that this would be the last performance for all 3 members of RUSH. I saw them in SC during the Signals tour, Hold Your Fire at Reynolds Colosseum in Raleigh NC and finally their r40 tour at Greensboro NC. There was a sense of excitement but also a sense of sadness because people knew this may be their last time to see true rock legends. Even after their last note was played there was always a sense that we hadn’t seen the last of them so hope was still alive. Then when news came out in early 2020 that Neil had died all hope was gone. Alex and Geddy have performed live a few times since and it’s good to see them doing what has been a part of their lives for decades. RUSH still lives on in the music they created.

@@chiefbrody75 Neil has been done. He didn’t want to do the Time Machine tour and most definitely didn’t want to do the r40 tour either. I probably haven’t been a fan of Rush as long as you have. I’ve only been a fan since around 1981. In my circle of friends we all thought the same thing. The album rock radio station played nonstop Rush when they played their last NC show in Greensboro. They asked the listeners all across the triangle area if fans thought this would be their absolute last performance. The majority of people who called in said “No”. I don’t know why that’s so hard for you to grasp the concept that there are others who think differently from you. That might have been the consensus from where you are/were but not where I was. AFTER the Greensboro show there definitely was a sense of the end but not before that show.

Nice job, great editing!! The first time I saw Rush was June 18, 1976. This was less than one week after they had recorded the live gigs used for All the Worlds a Stage in Toronto, during their 2112 tour. I managed to work my way up to the front row, at stage left. I could barely see Neil Peart but every time he did a fill down the left rack of toms, I could see that perfectly. I couldn't hear right for 3 days after, it was a galvanizing experience.

I can listen to this song over and over; the ending is so powerful as it builds beautifully. The measure of a life is a measure of love and respect So hard to earn, so easily burned... the lyrics get me every time. It's rough getting older. When I was 20 I thought 55 was so far away; now its here and I look back and wonder how I could/would have changed things. In the fullness of time A garden to nurture and protect It's a measure of a life... This was Rush's last "farewell to their fans" concert. That's why people were crying. Not because they knew something was going to happen to Neil or that something had already happened. This could be a bit confusing at first. Unfortunately Neil Peart(the explosive drummer and lyrics writer) died 5 years after this was filmed in 2020 from Glioblastoma(brain cancer). R.I.P. my good man.

When Neil came out front to take a bow, you, as a fan knew it was the end (since he usually didnt do this). So sorely missed. 😢

I can close my eyes anytime and remember front row floors 4th seat right center in Toronto 1987. So close to Geddy I could see the sweat beads on his forehead. Thank you Q107 for the tickets, best concert night of my life and yes Im a true Rush fan. My first Rush album was Moving Pictures in grade 9.

I've been to lots and lots of concerts, love many bands who have come and gone, but there has been only one that brings tears to my eyes knowing I'll never have the 26th concert with Rush. Since Permanent Waves until Clockwork Angels, Rush has been a part of my life. Thanks for the music, and memories!

I have just about avoided crying. I realised it is selfish, thinking I will never to goto another Rush gig, and my thoughts should be about the incredible joy and pleasure Neil and Rush gave me. Neil also helped guide me through the rough seas of life, although I did not know it at the time. I am so lucky to have the memories and the photos but also to be able to look forward and not back. The cells do tick away, just as the seconds do but that is OK; it's normal, it's Natural. That does not make it easy; no one else I have heard of went through what Neil did. Wife, daughter, dog and eventually, The Macallan, all just gone. Then ....well, it must of been the most horrid thing to hear. Everyone needs a garden.

What a great video this is!!!! I’m crying. I started out with Rush at just the right time in their stronghold in southern Ontario. High school in Brighton Ontario. We had a no shit group of young males that got bitten hard by Rush. When a new album cover came out we took over a bunch of the tables in the cafeteria and we spent hours in there pouring over every detail, trying to understand it all, and really hoping that we did. Lots of the girls there thought we were a little gone over the top with Rush. Now I’m in my 60’s and I still spend lots of time listening to and watching them. Got my kids interested in them as they became teens. They loved the videos on Much Music. We never had that when we started out with Rush, so it was very interesting watching the transition Rush kept making over the years. Then Neil lost his daughter in a car wreck not far from our very same school. Then a year later his wife passed away from cancer. Geddy quietly said in an interview that Neil was just lost - he got on his motorcycle and tried to drive away from life and pain. In 2017 I lost my daughter to cancer. Crippling depression got me and I wondered if this is how Neil felt.

From 15 years old seeing them at a spontaneous invite to a permanent waves concert in SF and telling myself this band is for life and they really were after 35 shows I had the pleasure of friendships. I also earned few smiles from geddy and alex. Great measure. Thank you all for good times. YT Fly-by-night girl.
