What a cool guy. I love how humble he is because every lifter knows that nervous feeling before a big lift and then being able to laugh it off when you don't hit it, very cool.

It would be interesting to see you go max effort on those and see how much you can do when you hit those first, and also see how SBD has carried over to other movements.

Thank you Russ for proving that it is possible to do heavy weights without slamming them. Plus, for all you that don’t know, letting go at the top of the rep makes it an incomplete rep. Your rep should end where you started. If you can’t control the weight all the way up, then all the way back down….it’s too heavy.
@rodolfoacosta4125
@rodolfoacosta4125 2 жыл бұрын
Keep your hands on the bar on the way down for a deadlift and it’s valid. Controlling it on the down for deadlifts just increases chance of injury so just keeping your core braced and keeping your hands on the bar is a full rep

Tell that to every lifter in the ipf that don’t control the weight at all on the way down. Controlling the negative on deadlifts is for idiots. The official rule is that you simply keep your hands on the bar as it falls.
