Sounds of laughter can be heard, followed immediately by panic, in a video posted on X by the Russian Embassy in London. It was taken at a beach in Sevastopol, the site of a missile strike Sunday launched by Ukraine.

Lets be real. It is the US's fault. The US provided the launcher. The US provided the missiles. The US provides the targeting data. The US provides satellite based intel. The US helps aim the missile system to a target the Russians. Then a Ukrainian hits the fire button. Technically Ukraine pulled the trigger I suppose. But we gave them the gun, the bullets and aimed it for them.

No, Russia blames the US because the drones and missiles are guided by US satellites and US personnel with knowledge of the attack. Basically, Ukraine fires the weapon, but the US makes sure it hits the target.

Add to that, the United States has a nominal GDP 14 times the size of Russia's economy. California, Texas and New York alone have larger GDP's than Russia. Russia's economy is now in freefall and living conditions are not much better than many third world countries.

@VHilts Didn't you watch Tucker Carlson when he interviewed Putin? He was awestruck at how much nicer Moscow was than our cities. Russia ranks 11th in gdp and 5th when it comes to purchasing power parity. That just means they make less but things are much cheaper. Under Putin the gdp has grown 10X, while the US has increased 2.5X. Their economy is not in free fall at all, they are simply selling their commodities to different countries like India and China. If their GDP is growing faster than ours, how is their economy in free fall? You might look at the Eurozone and Great Britain though, that's really who the sanctions are affecting. This war would never have stayed if it weren't for NATO moving to Russia's border. Ukraine is the historical route used by European countries to attack Russia afterall.

1) That is untrue. arguement is based on a request made by Mikhail Gorbachev in refrence to German reunification, It was later talked about by James Baker and other heads of state, but ultimately refused by Bush Later Gorbachev agreed to finanical aid in the form of a cash settlement to allow German unification. Mikhail Gorbachev himself, in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta and its foreign appendices, claimed that "the question of "NATO expansion" was not discussed at all in those years and did not arise" 2) In addition the attack on Ukraine is a violation of both the ukraine russia friendship treaty, the The Trilateral Process, and the Budapest Memorandum. 3) Not to mention why is Russia afraid of an allience whose only purpose is to defend against agressions. If Putins intent isnt to rebuild the soviet Union he has no reason to fear Nato. If he is woried about Russian defence he has the option to jion nato and share in the protection it provides

When you attempt to shoot stuff down you get debris.Russia says it does a good job shooting down stuff that Ukraine has put in the air.There is Russian made debris on that beach, there has been pictures of Russian missile parts on that beach.Ukraine is not targeting civilians as Russia is. Russia has said in public that is part of their strategy, getting the Ukrainian public to give up the fight.Russia wants it both ways and they will lie and cheat to get what they want because they are amoral. Then you have crazy Russians vacationing on a Ukrainian beach in a war zone. That is tantamount to putting civilians in harms way,way to go Putin!

I just want to give a quick shout out to Russia. As a direct result of your invasion of Ukraine, not only has NATO been expanded but possibly more importantly you have allowed us to field test our various weapons platforms on your armed forces. The amount of intelligence that has been gleaned on the capabilities or should I say the failings of the Russian air defense systems is invaluable. You have been tested and found to be wanting and if I were Putin I would be looking for an off ramp before this gets even worse for Russia.
