Flaky plums are the best. It’s whatever material they put in to make the plastic stronger. You can find it in every type of plum plastic they produced, just isn’t extremely common. My stock and handguards have some on the 1988 Izhmash ak74. AFAIK they didn’t get the black polymer down until the 90s so I don’t believe these stopped production in 1985.

The problem with that is the remaining blade is actually quite sharp
