Have you actually watched that documentary, it was done by a British reporter who is on Ukraine's side, he repeatedly says how horrified he is by the brainwashed russians he interviews and even challenges the russian soldiers on the atrocities committed as he finds one who was in bucha and irpin, the soldier refuses to answer him and walks off on him. It is a pro Ukraine documentary!

The ABC 4 corners program has been an important part of truth telling on major issues nationally and internationally. How they lost the plot on creating this “bowl of vomit” on behalf of Putin’s propaganda campaign is beyond me. As an Australian who fully supports Ukraine’s right to exist as a sovereign nation and fully believes in its people’s right to self determination through a vibrant democracy I apologise. I'm an Australian and I saw the ABC 4 CORNERS program as well. This conflict is in my opinion, the most important world conflict. Since this doco.was made more information has surfaced about the mass rape in Bucha.The program just shows how delusional the Russians are...take a deep breath and see the reality!Don't be sucked in by different agendas...the balance will come..the Russians will leave eventually and lie about the reason why!

It's probably the usual ultra-liberals inability to put 1+1 together and see further than their noses - I assume they in the name of "press freedom" wanted "an inclusive" view - only there is a tiny issue that no matter what they would show, it anyway would be a Russian propaganda, which Russians would weaponize in a heartbeat. I already can see how Solovjov or Simonyan is saying something like "look, even Australians agree with us".

Thank you. The western world is divided. The Kremlin has taken this into account. In almost every country there is a certain minority that resists or there are politicians who, when it comes, cannot withstand the stress of the conflict or the uncertainty and choose the side of least resistance. Other politicians and people popular in the social media, looking for clicks, just look at what they can use politically now to their advantage. I fervently hope that everyone comes to their senses and that we grow towards unity (in diversity). Many people think that the war in Ukraine is far away. If we do nothing or too little, sooner or later we will be confronted with a huge problem.

From funding random "activists", bribing officials to producing a never ending stream of disinformation. I can remember talking to some Russians about their elections in 1970 in Soviet times. I said it was rather pointless having elections if there was only one candidate. It was pointed out that only "mass organisations of the Soviet people" ie the Communist Party there being no other (legal) political parties, could nominate candidates. The final selected candidate (appointed by a Communist run Electoral Commission) was therefore the "right" candidate and there was no need for any other. They regarded any opposition as "anti party activity" and therefore criminal. The point of voting was a matter of civic duty and as a means of demonstrating support for the regime. When you went to a polling station, all you had to do was drop your ballot paper in the box. If you wished to vote against the candidate, you had to go into a booth and mark the "No" box. So everyone knew you had done it and you could expect a visit from the KGB. That explains why the candidates always got 99%plus votes. It did not really matter anyway because no one except the top leadership had any power,

Well perhaps they wanted to show the war from a Russian perspective . I haven't seen it , so can't comment on whether that perspective is directed by Russian propaganda only , or digs deeper to reveal unfiltered truths . One would suggest the film was viewed by the Russian " editors "first before it left the country .

@@crushingvanessa3277 it is a 'good' documentary, I was shouting at the TV a lot because the russians are so brainwashed but the journalist does show that he is on Ukraine's side. He is in the Donetsk region in the russian occupied area and speaks to both russians and Ukrainians who are basically coping with living there but want it to be Ukrainian again, they literally have to live in secret.

However, I think the Australians have got the wrong idea about the documentary, 'Ukraine's war, the other side,' the British journalist is on the side of Ukraine and makes this very clear throughout the film, he says how he is horrified at how brainwashed the russians are and what they say to him when he is interviewing them, he even challenges a russian soldier at one point about the atrocities in bucha and irpin. Yes, the russians' point of view is not of any importance due to how brainwashed they are but I don't like to see this documentary spoken badly of as it is a good one and is on the side of Ukraine!
