Damn, Lena is _pissed!_ She actually seems properly concerned about the situation! Color me genuinely surprised! 8. But yeah, Gwen’s right, Lena. If you keep her in the dark about literally everything, she’s going to make mistakes; possibly deadly mistakes. Yes, _we know_ it was a stupid idea to bring Lady Mowbray into the office and give her a tour, but Gwen literally doesn’t know what kind of threat level she’s up against with each of the Externals. The worst she’s seen so far is Mr. Bonzo, and compared to him, Lady Mowbray probably seemed like a reasonable human person who Gwen could deal with in a civil manner. You need to train her for her new position! I know you seem like you don’t like divulging information, Lena, but you _need to_ in this case, or something is going to go terribly wrong! 😥

This statement was physically painful to listen through, but i genuinely felt bad for Madame E. You could tell she was just putting up an act for the camera up until she was on her deathbed. I could actually relate to this statement a bit, I got a bunch of hate comments on tiktok the other day from people telling me that "poor people dont deserve pets" (all i did was point out some people cant afford to spay their pets lol). Even knowing that people are just looking to start shit online, it still surprises you how many people out there find it easy to say the most horrible shit to someone. It hurts more than you'd expect. On another note, Gwen's malicious compliance was valid but still incredibly stupid. Celia's absolutely going to get Hunted in the future because of that.

Well then, Ink5oul strikes again and reminds us that they aren't just a creepy tattoo artist. The graverobbing is interesting, up until this point I had Ink5oul pinned as either Flesh or Slaughter and I'm not sure what they'd be using the corpses for. The case itself strikes me as Slaughter coded, being about the verbal, emotional and physical abuse hurled at online influencers. That ending is almost certainly something inside Madame E's heart (or the heart itself) clawing its way out chestburster style. It was also nice to see Lena actually DO something helpful for once and call Gwen out for bringing a fucking HUNTER into the office! Great job Gwen, let's invite the fox into the rabbit warren and serve them TEA! And oh god Lady Mowbray probably has everyone's scents now, that's totally not gonna (literally) bite them in the arse.

The case today has a return of Ink5oul and the tattoo they give Madame Electrum is tied to her social media presence. She felt great after the collab with Ink5oul but felt worse and worse as people turned against her on social media after denying to help with graverobbing. The prolonged pauses between posting may also have caused her decline. Then the moment she says she quits with social media, her heart stops and/or bursts out? Life=exposure, attention. Formerly this would have been a case of the Eye, with a side of the Flesh. But as with the last time Ink5oul came up, I think this is an entity focused on attention and people's outward appearance. What do you guys think?

Ok, so far Ive been noticing some common themes between episodes, and I just wanted to gather my thoughts about them, so I apologize if this sounds like rambling. 1. Hunger and Violence: I can point out a few instances where hunger has been a major theme of a case, often followed by a display of violence caused by said hunger: the hungry violin, the guy who almost got eaten by the people in the tower and Lady Mobraw's whole deal comes to mind 2. Curiosity: red canary and the horror blogger who went to dangerous extremes to satisfy their own curiosity (one can argue curiosity is another kind of "hunger"), this connects to the Magnus Institute and Sam's storyline. 3. Luck and gambling: Lena told gwen that the world is full of "opposing forces", I bet that one of those forces are good luck vs bad luck, or just causality/fortune in general, as exemplified by the cursed dice and the app who gives money in turn of messing one's life. 4. Desire: there's the popular theory that whatever equivalent of the entities in this world are based on Desire rather than fear (again, one can argue that desire is some kind of hunger), but fear still seems to be a prevalent force in TMAGP universe. What I think is the case, is that theres ppl like Ink5oul who try to channel this "forces" to grant wishes trough their tattoos, and it backfires horribly. This is all I can gather, if anyone notices anything else, Id love to read it, thank you for reading Edit: forgot to add one theme: 6. Nature and Infection: so far we've had two cases regarding familiar themes of infection, but also added a natural element, the man from Growing Roots whose rotting wounds become plants, and the manager of the pet shop that is made out of snakes, with the snakes being implied to be transmitted like a disease (this is my favorite theme so far and I can't wait to see it develop more)

I love that Alice actually told her friends/coworkers what had happened to her. It’s such a healthy response in a series where the characters usually become paranoid and isolated as a result of the horrors.

Am i to understand the tearing sound when Madam E died was potentially the heart tattoo a) tearing in half or b) tearing away completely? So we have the Eye, the Buried, and the Flesh all in one episode, seems like, or whatever the equivalents here are...

Firstly, I loved the: "DIG (BRUH!!!)" bit! Secondly, was the cracking sound near the end of the episode actually the script-writer's brain cracking under all the influencer slang? Thirdly, a more serious note is that this is a good commentary on the harm social media can have on an individual, and being aware of how words can hurt. And finally, this show keeps hinting at all sorts. Two very recent episodes ended with deaths in hospital. Is this the same hospital, or at least run by the same private company? Are they harvesting deaths? Probably a Red Herring, but this interested me.

Hear me out: The women Alice encountered was from the TMA universe We know characters can cross already so it makes sense for her to have somehow ended up in this world after ep200. She was in a Vast domain, explaining the water in her lungs and the dead but still suffering ailment, plus the tape recorder is a dead giveaway. I reckon more tape recorders and people like this will start popping up Idk why no else is talking about her

i saw a prior comment a few episodes ago about tea instead of coffee symbolsing a connection with the magnus institue, or maybe the alternate reality (unsure about that), but Alice having tea after last episode and its undeniable supernatural spookyness just makes me believe all the more in it! interesting that sam brings her the tea, curious to see if that is foreshadowing to him draggin her further into the mystery, or maybe an echoe of how he already did so, like their romp through the old institue. ALSO! Anyone else notice the TINIEST bit of sound distortion when Celia denied knowing what exactly happened? yeah, freddy is calling you out there! damn, i love these details :D

The Magnus Protocol feels really feels like the biggest things here are not a categorised fear, but a place of vulnerability for the victims when they're in a high emotional state. Especially when it's to do with wanting and desiring something (physical, emotional, etc). Looking forward to more coming.

So Ink5oul is absolutely getting their tattoos from the deceased, but my question is if they're stealing another's person's work (a copycat) or if those are Marks left by the Fears on their victims that took on a visual manifestation. And how does Ink5oul know where to find them? What are they after? They feel less like an avatar and more like someone who wants to control them; like Jurgen Leitner, except they're spreading those marks rather than trying to contain them.

Another great episode- and real goth cred name-dropping Highgate Cemetery. (even though some of the popular lingo used seemed decidedly not goth, but I feel like that was intentional and added to the character!) It had been on my wishlist to visit since I was in 7th grade and read about the vampire craze there in the 60s/70s. When I finally got to visit England for the first time in 2006 it was one of the first places I demanded to go. It definitely lives up to the hype! Absolutely gorgeous. It's worth the million stairs I had to climb out of the tube station to get there!

Is Ink5oul the Jude Perry from this universe? Their voices sound similar.

A little bit actually weirded out now- not even 15 minutes after I listened to this, the TMA episode with Sergey Ushanka popped up in my recommended while I was listening to music. I cannot emphasize enough that I haven't listened to any of TMA lately, the only thing from Rusty Quill I've listened to in several weeks has been this has it comes out each week, and the video I was on wasn't at all related to this or to TMA. I'm guessing it's some weird youtube algorithm thing, maybe a lot of people that watched this went back at watched that episode afterwards so it started recommending it to folks who watched this, but a little bit unnerving either way.
