Mike, the Versa has more reserve than you have tapped yet. It is unlike other detectors in that lower Reaction settings do not really limit normal sweep speed You can set it to Reaction 2 or even 1 and not be able to overrun the target even at depth. There is a very noticeable increase in deep target response starting at Reaction 3. Unless I am in very heavy trash I run mine at 3 normally, 2 if deep searching clean ground, 1 if trying to really slow down & examine a hard hunted site. 4 is fine in heavy trash for anything that is not tiny. The Users Manual states 5 for coin hunting in trash but that is with European conditions in mind & low conductor cut hammered coins. Even in my red dirt minerals, seemingly low Reaction settings work very well. Experiment with it and let us know your observations. The Versa is a near perfect relic machine compared to all my other units.

I usually go to the manticore as a depth control, i was very surprised the Versa had no issue. Someone asked after my Legend video if the Versa would hit it and i said i was not sure, its not even maxed out and very stable. 3.7 is a completely different machine from 2.44. Unmasking and depth is great.

When creating a team for subsequent searches, we often have RUTUS equipment on board (usually Versa or Atrex). The equipment performs very, very well compared to several Deuses. 5! :)

Welcome Jimmy, it really is. Impressive new update. Sucks its not available in the states. I like the way it handles my tough sites, a few others have it now in the US that hunt tough iron sites like i do and that dual mode is really good to have, kind of surprised its not an option on any other machines.

Yea Danny, i keep the sensitivity of dual at 10, give a slight whisper on non ferrous but loud on deep iron and cans. Makes digging cans/large iron very less likely than non dual mode machines.

Turned out a damn fine machine a lot quicker than it might've thanks to good tester feed-back. For the price, it easily bosses the scene. Your test garden is paying dividends now and it'll just keep getting better, as long as you keep the moles and gophers out (if you have them in your parts). Moles were the bane of mine many moons past, for a short period of time. "Iron.Cold Iron"😉. Cheers Mike👍

Thanks Tim, test garden is still intact. The rest of the yard is a mess and needs seed after all the work but need the warmer days before we proceed with that. Close, couple more weeks.

Where did you buy the Rutus Versa, Iffy? I did a quick search on google and I didn't find any in Canada so far. Do you guys have some in the USA or you had to buy it from the Europe?

Detecniks i think would be the go to for Canada, they no longer ship to the US.

@@IffySignals May I ask how much did you pay in USD? I was hoping that we would have some price adjustments for our dollars but if we pay the european price but we just apply the currency change.. boy... I am not sure I would pay 1200$ CAD for a machine without headphone. I guess you guys in the US don't see a big change in the currency but Canadian "pesos" are like at 1.72 ratio with the british pound... ouch. But this machine seems to be interresting. I own a Legend but I don't see the justification of paying 2400$CAD for a Manticore and was just wondering if the Versa would be a good addition to the Legend but I am not convinced if I will make the move. Maybe next season if Nokta don't improve the Boost mode. Who knows! I won't get rid of my Legend tho

@jimmyberubelevesque2557 no, they are proprietary not bluetooth. They look just like the Equinox headphones but actually pair with a short press. You do not actually go into BT mode like you do with the others. They have a module as well so you can use any headphones
