Too bad! My ole man and I spent a lot of time in Grand Bend, Tobermory and Toronto before COVID locked things down. My ole man just told me Canada will be opening up their borders on August 9th, but we would have to show our vaccination cards. We are from Michigan and we are vaccinated. Also, we continue to wear our masks.. Your US Ally: Alexsandra Rokas.

Sadie is having the time of her life, running at full speed with a gallop, too! Great to see how happy she is, traveling with her Mom. Yes, had forgotten (forced myself to forget) the algae bloom problems from the agricultural runoffs down the Mississippi into the Gulf...All the nutrient rich fertilizers, methane, antibiotics, everything that went into cattle agriculture runs into our waters. You remind me of our native Indians who respected the land...If I could only join you, John D Liu and Mackenzie Scott into a room for some ecological healing!

That siren is to warn about severe weather, tornadoes, or other emergencies. When you hear it, you should always tune into a local radio station to find out what the emergency is. Usually it is just a test of the siren system when you hear it though, but since nomads don't get the postcard in the mail that tells us the test scedule we don't ever know when it is a real emergency or just a test. And it's not just for tornadoes. My hometown in California has one in case there is a nuclear emergency at the local power plant.

They test the emergency weather alarm in our area. They test them every 1st Wednesday of the month. It's followed up with an announcement that it's only a test. As far as what will get ya? Not much really. Beware of ticks I guess. Algae blooms have been a problem though. Big fish kills in my state (MN & Wi).

Did you ever see the air force advertisements to try to get people to put minot afb on their dream sheets. They talked up the recreational opportunities in the area. The ads said "Why not Minot " the snarky gi answer was "freezing is the reason." I was stationed at Luke in Glendale Az. in the desert. When you get acclimated to 90 being normal when it gets down to 50 you are ready for a coat and the only people running around in shorts and t shirts are the snow birds.

North Dakota especially the Western part has been hit hard by the oil industry. For several years you couldn’t even pay to camp anywhere. Hotels and motels were all full too. It’s a bit better now but not like it was. Eastern ND has the military influence so the camping situation isn’t much better. Your video is beautiful! I enjoyed it very much.

Don't forget Sacagawea's part in the Lewis and Clark Expedition. She saved the expedition twice when the boats were swamped and then when enemy tribe cornered them.

Enjoy going around US with you and Sadie. Been watching you since 2015 I think, when I left Seattle for Alaska. Ya, we have lost our way in honoring Mother Earth. She is so amazing and so forgiving, but IMO white man profits have destroyed her. Loved your chickpea lunch. Trying to fix food the Ikaria Blue Zone way. I follow Dr. Hyman too, and he educates about how the way we raise animals in feed lots and how the run off is destroying everything, same with our massive food production. He‘s got great recipes for the Pegan. Take care and Ill see you in next adventure.

Teddy Roosevelt National park is in North Dakota. I don’t think I had heard about blue green algae until recently. I had no idea what caused it. Thanks for the info.

I'm curious to see where you end up though since your headed in this direction. I'm familiar with local grounds and way stops. (Duluth and Superior) I'd love to see what you discover as I'm not on the road yet.
