The wire on the front of the truck that Ray referred to as a CB antenna is actually a height gauge for the rv that the truck tows.

On the subject of knees, Ray: Good for you caring for them. At 75 I wish I had done more to protect mine. I need both replaced. Too many years of "abuse" in the automotive field, and four years in the Marine Corps. You are a wise man. I've tried to impart the knee and back care to younger techs, and hope they listen better than I did when I was young. I like watching the process of a brake system flush and seeing that old discolored fluid replaced with the clear good stuff. And, also, good on you being so cognizant of your children (kiddos) and where they are...love that you're such a good dad.

Hey Ray, total knee replacement is the worst operation and affects your life mentally and physically. I have had 3 TKR on the left knee( wasn’t done right first time and a fall at work broke the glue on the second). Now I nurse it so there is no repeat! The right knee also has a full TKR, and because I was limping with the left knee for so long, just had spinal fusion to repair the lower back. I recommend a set of gel knee pads should be worn at all times. Please don’t ignore it, unless you wish to hobble around at 50 like a 80 year old.

The Ford F 350 6.7l is the best modern vehicle on the road today, but I am not biased or anything. Good owner put the water system filter, using the wonderful Donaldson filters, who also make wonderful oil filters. That Ferd needs to go on a diet, get rid of all that plastic, cleans up the bay real nice, better gas mileage, more power, and cleaner burns. Mine has 230K and drives better then new. Thanks Ray, glad you and the family are doing well.

Ray, you are correct about the order of bleeding the brakes on MOST vehicles. However, there are a few oddballs out there. I have a vintage car that routes the brake tubing down the right-hand frame rail, which makes the left rear the farthest from the master cylinder and the 1st one to be bled, right rear 2nd, then right front and finally left front. It pays to check.

You should always position your vehicle so that you're prepared to make the left turn. There is no reason to set all the way back behind the curb lines and wait till you have the opportunity to turn because now you don't because it takes you at least two car lengths to get to where you can actually make the left turn. What you do not do is turn the wheel while you're sitting still because somebody hit you from behind, they can launch you into oncoming traffic.
