Continuing our summer van adventure, we finally reach New England! We visit with friends & family, flee a hurricane, visit a lot of Harvest Hosts and in general just have a great time.

We're Cherie & Chris and we've been full time technomads since 2006. We are owned by Kiki (meow).
We have a fleet of nomadic vessels that we split our time between - a 1961 GM 4106 vintage bus, a 1999 Bayliner 4788 motor yacht and a 2016 Travato 59G van conversion. You'll find RV, van and boat life content here, as we feel inspired to share - sometimes topical, sometimes travelogues, sometimes just hanging out.

We live in NH and just got our first RV a few days ago. Shakedown trip next weekend to Meredith Woods Campgrounds. Glad you visited one of our favorite KOA campgrounds, Twin Mountains. We always stayed in the cabins, but next time in our RV! Thanks for the glimpse of Harvest Host sites. They will be high on our list, once we head out next fall.

What I didn't say last time about my 4106. Is that the interior looks almost like yours did before you modified it. The man I bought mine from knows who built them

Nice trip, I know the area. We were at the Flume last week, Oct 14th. The Kancamagus Hwy nearby was a fabulous drive that day for fall color. We're on the Blue Ridge Parkway now, where you were a couple weeks ago. The color on the BRP is coming to life, almost peak around milepost 300 yesterday, Oct 22.

We have been very upset about our cat. Many Air bnbs in Georgia will take dogs but not cats! Macy says that is cat discrimination. My cat is such a good girl. We don’t get it.

Let me help you with one New England pronunciation. LAKE CHARGOGGAGOGGMANCHAUGGAGOGGCHAUBUNAGUNGAMAUGG is pronounced "Webster Lake". 😉

If you make it to Maine, campgrounds are mostly shut down for the year but you are welcome to park and hook up to electric at our house near Portland. Can't imagine not welcoming your kitty as well! I've sent you an email with contact info to your contact@ address.

Thank you for respecting no-pet rules. Cats create problems here. NE place names sound unfamiliar since they are based on ye olde English or native indian names.

Not sure how a cat who stays indoors creates problems... but we always respect rules, even when they don't make sense.

@@valerieforsyth992 You can google the cat crises in Hawaii where 2 million are killing local endangered species like eating petrel chicks and monk seals catching parasites from feces. Cats may be widely infecting humans thru undiagnosed toxoplasmosis. The cat in the video has been depicted as escaping thru van screen or being brought out in healthier days. I have an "indoor" cat tormenting me by roaming and screeching in the halls of a no-animal building under the pretense of a therapy animal. Sorry, but some folks and animals need a cat ban for their wellbeing.

@@BoomVang I did google it. They are talking about an overpopulation of feral cats in Hawaii. I can assure you my cat is spayed and well taken care of. She gets her vaccinations and is very clean. She does not have parasites. Not even in the same category. However, you gave me an idea. I am going to get a letter of health from my veterinarian to give to potential landlords.
